The moment you step into Ginseng on a Sunday, you're not just at a restaurant—you're crashing the best family BBQ in town. The air is thick with the delicious aroma of grilling meats and the palpable buzz of happy diners, creating an infectious, communal energy. And there's a special kind of magic in cooking your own meal right at the table, flipping the meat until it's just the way you like it—a little bit charred, perfectly juicy—and sharing it with the people you love.
The menu is where Ginseng truly shines, offering an impressive and thoughtfully curated feast. While the stars of the show are the endless varieties of beef, pork, chicken, and lamb, it's the fresh, vibrant additions that truly elevate the experience. You'll find yourself making a perfectly balanced plate, stacking your grill with classic onions, carrots, and zucchini, and artfully wrapping your sizzling protein in crisp, large lettuce leaves. Don't forget to add some delightful seafood options like shrimp, cuttlefish, and mussels—they were a definite hit in the wraps! The tangy pickled radish and a comforting cup of soup also make all the difference. Even with crowd-pleasers like veggie tempura, the possibilities for a wholesome and satisfying meal are endless.
In the end, Ginseng proves it's so much more than an all-you-can-eat spot. It's a wholesome, lively, and truly satisfying culinary experience. If you're looking for great value, fantastic variety, and a whole lot of fun, grab your crew and get ready to grill—you won't be...
Read moreI always like to start most experiences with “don’t judge a book by its cover.” to fully enjoy and accept the experience. The interior was not much to be spoken of and the buffet style meat selection was a bit daunting. The meat and their presentations had me guessing as to what I was getting was the meat the small hand written label proposed. In any case beside the dirty glasses you can fill you own drinks to enjoy, it wasn’t until the paint from the ceiling began to fall upon our food that I couldn’t make the best of it anymore. The smoke that bellows out from the cooking experience as you look above has caused the paint to chip which results in my case with watching it fall upon my friends arm and then into our food as we ate. I can’t say much more about the experience cause money at that point didn’t matter with it being over priced, and the food which scared me. It was the paint on my food that made this the last time I’ll ever go and also remember as i paid the bill and kindly mentioned. Be warned as not to say it’s only my experience you should make judgement on, maybe yours will be better or maybe you don’t mind a little paint here and there. Jus cause it’s all you can eat doesn’t mean it’s all...
Read moreCalm and quiet, they had the hockey game on. I usually get my grilled meat fix at gyukaku or baekjong and I'm so so happy I found this AYCE place near the H&W produce.
If you have mobility issues be aware the floor is a little uneven in some spots, once we noticed it was no issue at all to navigate, but my partner caught his cane on the floor a couple times.
The lettuce and onion were fresh and crispy, and I loooooved the pork belly and beef options. Lamb, chicken, and seafood was also available. The marinated meats were mildly spicy, but I have a low spice tolerance, so some might wish for more. Since it was just my partner and I, we each got our own grill since even the small tables have two.
All the food is self serve buffet style, including the drinks and the seasonings. I appreciated the thin sliced fresh garlic, we knew it was fresh since it was still a little spicy.
The service was impeccable, professional, kind, and quick. Our grills were changed and plates cleared often. No pressure to rush, we sat and chatted for awhile after our food was finished and it was lovely. Just remember to pay at the front, you don't need to wait for a bill...
