Bestco Fresh Foods Scarborough Store — Local services in Toronto

This is one of my go to places simply because they have a huge range of Chinese groceries and I like the fact that the store is very clean and the products are quite fresh. Prices are very reasonable and if you shop during the weekdays, it's never too crowded. Parking is a little bit on the stressful side but as long as you are patient, you will find a spot.

DOWNSIDE.....cashiers / butcher / seafood staff are not the greatest. I speak fluent English and Cantonese so I understand what these staff says. Staff the seafood stall are absolutely RIDICULOUS! One of the guys there will without fail, swear and use reference to woman body parts every time that I shop there and he says it loud enough for everyone to hear. Staff at the butcher stall are much better but unfortunately, they are not too friendly. Majority of the cashiers are pretty much mute - never a word of acknowledgment or a word of thanks. I can complete an entire transaction without a single word or look from these cashiers and it's not once but about 80%. There is one female cashier with long, straight shoulder length hair who is awesome, always a smile, a hello and a thank you! I do hope fellow shoppers find her because she is great and makes the shopping experience much more pleasant.

The sales floor associates were super active, running everywhere to ensure that everything was okay, which was very impressive. I noticed as it appears in one of the pictures that they also prepare online orders, as seen by the lined-up shopping baskets. The checkout process was easy and fast, with no long queues.
