Shopping for Chestnut cakes in Toronto, since this place claims they sell them, decided to visit and buy a small slice to test before placing a customized order, glad I did.
Their cake might be fancy in the 80s or 90s, but certainly not up to standard in 2023. The chestnut cake tasted nothing like chestnut, just sugar. I had those prepackaged cake with a long expiry date at T&T tasted better than this.
I was also going to buy their toasts, since they are a bakery after all, but immediately changed my mind upon seeing their selection. If I have to give the bakery at Walmart a 2/10, and bakery at T&T a 5/10, this place is a solid 0.5/10.

She could have charged me for 5 cents but she should never comment this to any customer. It's a...

Been here on many occasions and even when around 2 hours from closing, they still have enough buns to last. The specialty they have here.... the traditional 1000 layer cake made with coconut and egg yolk. Little pricier for the 1000 layer cake than a dim sum place, but now I can get it anytime if I choose!!! Buns are consistent and chicken pies...
