Galleria Supermarket Express Eglinton — Local services in Toronto

Decent selection and I generally have a neutral experience there but the young cashier today was strangely rude. It was a mostly empty store and she made me wait until her conversation with another cashier was finished to check out. When I put my basket on the counter (which they often just ask you to pass the basket to them), she asked me to put the basket where they are stacked at the front and then put the items on the counter. She waited until all of the items were on the counter before actually checking me out and as I was in middle of putting my things in my bag, she had the customer behind me hand her their basket and checked out their items (without that customer having to take out the items on their own!). I'm suspicious when it comes to markets with Asian products, especially Korean products, but the Galleria is certainly a great option for those looking for good values, variety of products and good options for different items!

The grocery store is very complete, with a little bit of every item, including skincare and hygiene. The place is always very clean, including the refrigerators, which makes me very happy, since the store is right in front of the avenue!

They are close to the Eglinton metro, the bus terminal and easy stops for taxis and private cars, in addition to having private parking in the area.

I'm writing to express my dissatisfaction with my experience at this store today. I was charged $3.49 for an item, despite its clear shelf label stating $2.48. After I showed a photo of the correct pricing, the manager simply stated the label was wrong and offered no solution, leaving me to request a refund.

The cashier was helpful and shouldn't be blamed for this. However, the manager's refusal to honour the displayed price reflects poorly on the store's commitment to fair pricing.
