A traditional English pub in midtown.
The Crown is a great option for those looking to watch sports and chat, and for those looking to listen to good music throughout the night.
The pub is located 1 block from the Eglinton subway station and the bus terminal. For those planning on coming by car, there are paid parking lots on the street and private parking lots in the shopping mall and in the neighborhood buildings.
They have a good menu of snacks, dishes and appetizers, as well as a great variety of drinks and beers. For those who don't drink alcohol, they also have non-alcoholic products. They don't have a menu of seasonal drinks for the evening.
A tip for those who like it, order the charcuterie, it's simply sensational.
The service is great, and in the afternoon it's very fast. For the evening, don't demand so much, because the place gets very busy and the service ends up taking longer.
Unfortunately, the pub does not have the facilities to accommodate disabled customers: there are stairs at the entrance, doors do not have an automatic system, bathrooms are not adapted, and other facilities that help the day-to-day life of those with disabilities.
I really like the atmosphere and I think it is worth a visit - especially in spring and summer when the patios...

Casual Irish pub style design-- wood bar, wood trim, wood floor, etc. Added a few more modern flairs near the back of the bar since I had last been there (graffiti style art behind glass near the dartboards)
Very music oriented! Not only do they still have live music late at night, but a modern style digital jukebox you can queue songs at near the stage.
Added games are pool tables and dart boards in the back. Also has a secondary tap bar there for the parties.
I've had several casual dates, birthday parties and drinks with friends here over the years because of the great community vibe and incredible customer service. If you get the owners, Johnny or his wife serving you, you'll have an even better time! I once left my phone on the bar and she chased me down half a block to give it back to me!
Food is a 7 out of 10. It's pubfair, it tastes good, but you're not doing fine dining here. You're at a pub, ya silly goose!
Very easy to commute to, about a 5 minute walk from Eglinton Station.
I've had many memories built here over the years, so I can confidently say this is a wonderful pub. But give it a try and build your own memories!

I recently visited The Rose and Crown and was absolutely charmed by the entire experience. From the warm, inviting ambiance to the impeccable service, everything here is done right! The decor has that perfect blend of rustic charm and contemporary comfort, creating an ideal setting for any occasion, whether you're out with friends or on a date night.
The menu offers a delightful variety of food and drinks, all within a reasonable $20-$30 range. I tried the fish and chips and a local craft beer, and both were exceptional – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The bartender also recommended a house cocktail, which quickly became my new favorite!
What really sets The Rose and Crown apart is the staff. They’re friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to care about providing a great experience. Despite the busy evening, our server was quick with refills and made fantastic menu suggestions, elevating our visit even further.
