I've been shopping at this place for 10+ years regularly. The customer service has worsened so much after the usual lady is no longer there. For years I was shopping here in confidence, knowing that I would be treated with respect and fairness. However, recently two of the cashiers are providing horrible customer service. I have to wait to be checked out so long - cashier is never at the counter. Even if they see you are there, they are still continuing with what they were doing, and you have to wait. Interactions with those two are rarely pleasant. Oftentimes you get an attitude for no reason. One cashier with braids is always nice, though. I wish others were like her. Prices on some items are very good. But not all. One always has to check. Freshness of produce must be check too every time. I do suspect that some of the produce labeled "organic" is non-organic. Usually, organic raspberries are sweet and flavorful. But the "organic" ones bought here are sour and do not taste like raspberries. I used to buy produce only at this store. "Don't waste your time going there" .. if you do, they will tell you exactly that if you ask any question from the counter staff about the prices of what you have bought! So customer service is very poor. Extremely impolite and rude staff! As if directly landed from village. Hygiene is an issue - the place is not very clean and staff's clothes are always dirty - imagine eating produce handled by them. Even the produce is not clean and often rotting away. Stuff is cheap but the quality is low compared to other similar stores in vicinity. This is the only place on Yonge Street that charges you extra if you pay by card (all other Chinese run stores accept cards without adding extra charges)... And prefer only cash even during these pandemic times, thus: Acting as a superspreader of virus despite govt guidelines of moving to cards during these times By doing cash business mostly, avoiding taxes Using unscrupulous business practices like selling loose fruit outside the shop and packing that in ORGANIC labelled boxes of known suppliers, misleading the customers

Definitely not recommended. The Chinese shop 25 metres away on Erskine Avenue is much better...

This is my go-to shop for veggies and fruits for close to 5 years now. Great prices and most of the times fresh and quality produce. The customer service though is truly terrible. I cannot believe how many times they poorly behaved even though they know I am their regular customer. I am really contemplating if I wanna shop from them again. Most of the staff are good but the young girl who stand is cashier is extremely rude.

There were a few times that I picked certain bags of products and she'd swap it with something else and tell me it is the same thing.

Numerous times of not willing to provide receipt and being weird if you ask for one.

Couple of times that I didn't carry cash or debit card and wanted to tap with my phone (same debit that I shop always) and she refused and didn't even let me try. I am pretty sure she did it thinking I might be scaming or something... But really you treat your 5 year customer like this? It's...
