Hasty market — Local services in Toronto

This place is EFFING weird. Every time i come in here the workers are shiesty and scammy. Its never a genuine interaction and they always find some way to make the purchase inconvenient or insanely weird.

A couple months ago i came here and purchased some items with change and they said they don’t accept change and would charge me a 10% transaction fee to use change…

A couple of weeks ago i came here to buy two bags of chips and while at the counter i asked how much the sour keys are the guy says “dont worry”. In my world it usually means free unless you say a price. When i grabbed two i though he was giving them for free but when i got home i noticed that i was short a dollar. So i mean they werent free so just say it’s $.50/piece instead of being difficult and weird.

I come in again as ive seen a sign saying $2.99/dozen eggs so i went and checked jt out today. I asked the guy at the counter where these eggs were and he’s like it’s finished. I literally saw the sign there on friday and he said that the offer was good until june 5th. I was like whatever it’s raining ill just stick to the $4.20 for eggs. I went to pay and the guy said “sorry i dont have change…i just started.” And then he says “ok fine.”

Im not sure what kind of tom foolery goes on here but it’s the weirdest place to do any kind of shopping. It’s almost not even worth coming here unless everything...

BUYER BEWARE...INSPECT YOUR PURCHASE BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE! Well I would've gave them a minus 5 stars if I could. On the 30th of March at exactly midnight I went to buy a lighter and a Bong and I usually go there often and noticed that the torch lighters are often way overpriced and depending on who's working the price may be lower or higher. But what happened this time as made me never want to go there again they sold be a BROKEN BONG! I buy bongs there all the time and this is how they treated me! I even called them and that are saying that once I leave the store it's no longer there responsibility. But there's no broken pieces of n my bag I said the bong was already broken when they put it in the bag... Which of course they denied it. A little piece of advice if you buy something that's behind the counter make sure to do an inspection if you don't want to get home and be surprised that you can't even trust that they won't sell you something that's...

I placed an order on Uber eats and provided 2 replacement options for the 2 items requested. When I received the order after being informed via Uber a item was not available, the employee present didnt replace the item with the desired other item. This resulted in only 1 item arriving and a fee called “a small order fee”. I was charged extra for a failure to provide a product your establishment didn’t have as well as didn’t resolve. To be charged for an absence of a product is no fault of a customer and they shouldn’t be charged additional money for only 1 item after providing replacement options to the vendor. How can we resolve this issue after Uber eats has denied any compensation for the mistake made by the establishment? This is an unfortunate and unacceptable outcome for first time shoppers knowing the merchant keeps the fee for lacking the item to attain free money...
