Came into the City to see Titanique - excellent show, so funny... As an out of towner, I kindly suggest having the names of the two CAA theatres be 'more different'. I arrived at the wrong theatre 10 minutes before performance. There were a couple other ladies in the foyer in the same situation. Staff was amazing!!! They told us right away we were at the wrong place and called a cab. I talked the ladies into coming with me (they graciously split the cost - not expected, ty), we got to the other theatre maybe a minute late. I grabbed a drink, great staff again, and in my seat maybe two minutes late. I can't emphasize enough how helpful staff was to get us from one place to the other and not miss a minute of the show. Thank you so very much. I'll give five stars if you alter the theatre name, lol. Google doesn't know the difference. Maybe the one remains CAA and the other is Ed Mirvish CAA: put the name in front. Or, something fantastically creative. I'm okay with the added adventure but I imagine from x to x staff may be subjected to unwelcome comments when / if patrons arrive at the incorrect location. Thank you Oh, one more thing. Great sound. Loud enough if you are hard of hearing and waiting for hearing aids.

The CAA Theatre, located south of Bloor-Yonge Station is part of the Mirvish productions. The live theatre and concert venue features a two-floor setup with two side balconies and 700 seats. The acoustics in the theatre were good, and there was beverage service on both the main and second floors. The seating on the second floor provides a decent view, and the incline of the seat arrangement is fairly good for viewing performances. The theatre offers bathrooms on the basement and second-floor levels. While the seats were a bit cozy and did not recline, they provided a good view, especially from the second floor's first row near the middle. The main floor's bottom floor view was also good around row G. Outside food and drinks are not allowed. CAA members can enjoy complimentary coffee and coat check. Sugar and milk are available near the middle of the main floor which is a bit cumbersome when the seating has not been open. Generally, the main floor is overpacked as people have entered and are waiting to enter for their seats. Overall, the theatre provided a great experience for both the performances of "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern is Dead" and "Hyprov."

Picture this...a small intimate theatre with an incredible and rich history. 2.5 hours to showcase a magical simple production about two beautiful ladies who changed the way the world loved. Both possessing voices and personality that spoke loudly when women were expected to be silent. They arrived in North America, post war and found a generation rising from the European, North American and African fires. A billion people's lives forged in that suffering. They came here to provide a new soundtrack to revolutionize and create from the old worlds that lay smouldering under the smoke of steel wars and leather boots. Helping our parents parents to reform as a single entity. A wave of observers growing in appreciation for the power of a human voice, united by the shared experience and tragedy of a devastated world. All wrapped up in music, vice, sex and the odd cigarette with wine. What's not to love.

A very nice cozy theater. The theatre name is very non sexy and not exciting but whatever, I used my CAA card for free coffee and free coat checks so that pleased us. The staff were very professional and friendly enough but not too friendly where they interrupted your outing, so they were the most perfect, most professional staff, I can't praise them enough, thank you.

I read reviews before going to this theatre and I read that the seats were small and too tight and crowded, but we didn't find that at all. The seats were very comfortable and we were very relaxed. We couldn't see over some of the heads right in front of us but we could shift in our seats and managed to look past these tall bald men sitting right in front of us, who were drinking wine and throwing their empty cups on the floor like animals. Everyone else behaved admirably, including all the French & German tourists. We were about one-third the way down.

I felt tad rude but I raced to the lobby at the end and I managed to be the second person in line for the coat check. The coat check lady was a total doll but checking coats in and out took agonizingly too long. Wear a light coat in winter time and just wear it in imho.

There was awesome covered parking very close by. I paid before I got on the elevator to go up to my floor to get my car. I wish I had paid on the way out with my car because a lot of people were in their car paying as they exited and that really slowed up the car line. If I had just raced to my car I could have escaped the building quicker by paying at the exit.... and screw everyone behind me BWA HA HA.

The show we saw was absolutely fantastic, Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich. Oh my God I can't say enough about the show it was absolutely fantastic, I really enjoyed myself and the two lead actresses worked so hard... and the singing.... there was a lot of welling up of emotion for me. The lighting was so on point. I was amused by the ladies doing costume changes right on stage in front of us. Bravo to whoever stage managed this remarkable show, it was jeweled perfection.

No, I regret nothing 🎵🎶

There was an incident during intermission upstairs. There was the handicapped bathroom door and on either side were two long lineups of men and women waiting to use the bathrooms, a silver fox woman with a cane walked up and pushed the door opener automatic button and the handicapped door slowly opened to reveal a poor old man inside in the middle of his toilet, there was a muted gasp from the crowd, it was agonizing waiting forever for the electric powered door to finally close again.

Then the cane woman went in, and thirty seconds pass before a new man came up and just before he pressed the automatic door opener button, a woman yelled "there's somebody in there" oh, but it was too late, and the whole farce played out once again. We were all in the lineup mortified and we didn't know where to avert our eyes. She kept trying to slam the door shut but it was impossible as she had to let the electric door shut with the speed of a snail.

It's a smaller theatre which is a much older looking than the other Mirvish theatres. It's underwhelming if you've been to the other locations but it gets the job done. Washrooms and bar are on the second level I believe. The washroom reminded me of a highschool washroom but they had auto flushing toilets and soap dispensers, similar to how the other theatres are designed. It's very small venue so there's not much room to wait around for the show start or for the "ropes" to open. Prices at the bar are the same as all the other Mirvish theatres and you can get you CAA or subscriber discounts. The candy was a little hard though so no sure if they get a lot of traffic buying enough of them.

The stage area is tiny and the seating is very close on the upper levels. It felt like the person behind you is breathing right by your head and you're right up against the person in front of you lol. I felt very claustrophobic although there were empty seats and rows around us. I saw a couple get moved up front closer to the railing of the balcony because they asked.

I saw Titanique which was funny, entertaining and fun! It seemed like it had a low production budget but it was a good experience for my first time visiting this theatre. I do recommend seeing it if you ever have a chance! I got same day rush tickets which made it worth it.

One thing is that we couldn't see the performers at times during the show as they were interacting with the audience right in front of the stage and how the upper balcony is positioned, it's hard to see above other people's heads and past the railing. We missed a few jokes because of this and the joke didn't land as hard as it could've if we could see!

I would go back here if I really wanted to see a particular show but it seems that they keep it for low budget shows which makes sense. If you get a Mirvish Subscription, I doubt any of the big names shows will be shown there so it's just for the one off...

I would give it zero starts if I could!! We visited this theatre for the Dog Man Show with four kids (4 to 8 years old). We were sitting at the second row to have a good view of the show; however the security lady didn't seem to want us to enjoy the show at all! The kids were excited before the show starts and were talking to the ones behind them. The security lady told us to make sure the kids will sit down when the show starts and I said sure! but wasn't sure why she is emphesysing on this before the show even starts! The second the show started and all the kids in the theatre got excited and mostly stood up from the excitement; she immidiatly came to us and asked me to tell my kids to sit down! While it makes sense for people to sit down while watching a show so everyone behind them can see, it also makes sense for kids to get excited right when their favorite characters get excited and walk in to the theatre singing and dancing! I don't see a hard in less than a minute of excitement!! She didn't stop! My son had a minor move in his seat, she walked to us and asked me to make sure he will sit down at all times!!!!! I walked out and talked to their manager and he appologiesed and asked me which security guard it was. However, the lady never stopped. Constantly during the show she pointed at us for every small move our kids did. I cannot recall a moment of the show and how it was, all I remember is a horrible experience with a very mean and biased security guard that took away all the excitement and fun...
