I had a very disappointing experience at the TD Bank branch in the Toronto Beaches. As I approached the counter, the older female teller greeted me with, “This better not be difficult.” I was taken aback by the comment, but I calmly stated that I wanted to deposit a cheque into my account. Her response was, “You don’t have to come into the bank for this — it can be done online or at a machine.”
I rarely visit this branch and I do not know this teller personally, so the tone and attitude were completely unprovoked. She processed the transaction while visibly scowling — not just at me, but seemingly at every customer she dealt with. Even the other tellers appeared uncomfortable, exchanging glances and then quickly looking away, which suggests this behavior might be familiar to them.
It’s disappointing to feel like you're being chastised for choosing in-person service. While I understand that digital options are available, I don’t believe it’s appropriate to discourage customers from coming into the bank — especially when they have a legitimate reason. Is depositing a cheque now considered an inconvenience to staff? I hope TD takes customer feedback seriously and addresses this...
Read moreThe current bank manager (Julianne) at this TD Beaches location on Queen is one of the worst managers that I have met in the customer service business. We are a business that has been banking with this location for 30+ years. I had a legitimate complaint on their investing services. When the concern was brought to her (Julianne) -she was dismissive, non apologetic or sympathetic. Refused to take any accountability for an obvious error in the banks services. Dimitris our account advisor has been kind and as helpful as possible, however his manager Julianne needs to review their customer service policies.
Thankfully, I was put in touch with the complaints department and that was a better customer service experience. Td should invest in training to ensure their bank managers know how to speak to customers...
Read moreI've had a terrible experience with this branch. My siblings and I came in February to set up an estate account. We were told we'd be notified when it was set up and Canada Savings Bonds money transferred to the account. We never heard anything. Emails and phone calls were not returned. I went to the branch and saw the service rep and the manager. She told us she was sorry and that this wasn't the way she wanted the branch to function. I still heard nothing. I called months later and was told the account had actually been set up in March, less than a month after our visit. No communication from anyone at the bank. 4 months later, I'm finally receiving the funds. No explanation. My experience is probably specific to our particular requirements, but I've never had...
