Came here in February 2024 with two others. I’m used to a different selection of north american style thai dishes and this restaurant didn’t have what I’m used to, namely anything at all with peanut sauce, which is immediately very disappointing. Everything is pretty much $20+ a plate, or minimum $17 and rice is $3, so you are not going to get full for less than $20 a person, and its only going to be one meal, no leftovers. I wasn’t even hungry when I arrived (my friends wanted dinner) and I absent mindedly ended eating most of it anyways because its actually not that much food! I ordered the pineapple fried rice which comes out in half of a pineapple which is pretty but VERY gimmicky. Theres not even very much pineapple in the dish which is a slap in the face considered they hollowed out a whole pineapple to serve the dish in. You’d think $20 that would have covered more than 6 bits of pineapple. The food was okay, but not even close to worth demanding those kind of prices, especially if I can’t get two meals out of/leftovers. The atmosphere is fine but again the same or better could be found at a restaurant that’s $15-18 a plate that includes rice. The service was okay, but I expect decent sized plates, full recommendations and ability to fully understand me from my server if I’m paying starting $20 a plate. The server didn’t ask us how we were, make small talk, any recommendations, and seemed so confused by our questions that I couldnt trust his answers. I felt nickeled and dimed by a restaurant that is offering nothing special at all and isnt even competing with other asian restaurants on the same street. You can get almost any food on Queen street in the beaches for less that will at very least fill you up, and likely on top of it you’ll have leftovers....
Read moreWe’ve been to Thai House Cuisine three times now, and every visit has been nothing short of excellent. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel comfortable. The decor is cozy, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve.
Every dish we’ve tried has been full of rich, authentic Thai flavor—perfectly balanced with fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. Whether it’s the classic Pad Thai, flavorful curries, or delicious appetizers, each bite has been memorable. We’ve recommended this place to several friends and they’ve all had the same amazing experience.
On our most recent visit, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary mango tray that was absolutely spectacular. We had an outstanding meal, and the complementary appetizer was a wonderful gesture that showed the restaurant’s dedication to going above and beyond for their guests It’s rare to find a place that delivers consistency in both food and service over multiple visits, but Thai House Cuisine truly does. We’re already looking forward to our next meal here. Read moreI've been here an awful lot of times and some of those times the meals have been amazing. Other times they've merely been OK. And yet other times I've had to rethink my meal choice because they're simply out of ingredients.
I keep returning because the food is reliably OK and, about 75% of the time, amazing. Their noodle dishes are the biggest source of quality variability; sometimes the noodles are clearly overcooked (and thus challenging to separate from one another and eat because they're glued together) whereas in other cases they're done properly. The same with spicing: sometimes the 'hot' is super mild whereas in other instances it's appreciably warm in the back of your throat.
The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and have given me discounts when the cooks have been unable to fulfil an order. The servers are all quick with refills and provide helpful guidance to diners who are unsure of different items on the menu.
In terms of ambiance, the restaurant is tastefully decorated. It also tends to be pretty quiet in the evening and so a nice place to go with a friend or loved one for a quiet meal.
All in all, Thai House Cuisine is worth visiting if you're looking for a regularly decent meal and are in the area. That said, don't come to the Beaches just to visit this...
