I have to say that I got what can only be described as the worst haircut of my life here. I came in here last week on a Tues as it seemed that the reviews were good. I walked in with a one -length bob, down to my shoulders. I wanted to get a lot of shaggy layers and curtain bangs, without losing much of the length. I showed a picture to the lady and told her I understand mine wont be exactly the same as my hair was not as long as in the picture. Well, sadly I have to say that this person had no idea how to cut hair! Or rather she might know how to cut hair, but not when it comes to stylish and more edgy cuts. She started cutting what was supposed to be a shaggy cut on wet hair and ended up cutting my bangs so short that now they are basically halfway up my forehead. All of my (very short) layers were extremely blunt on the ends with zero feathering/razoring of the tips -which is what the cut called for. So I had short layers with blunt ends and super short bangs. The back of my head did not look the worst but the front and the sides looked horrible! it was all disjointed and it was not a haircut at all, but rather a hack job. When I started saying that the sides need to be more blended, meaning I wanted the ends to not be so blunt, she proceeded to take sheering scissors and grabbed a big section of my hair and stuck the scissors under and just blindly chopped off a huge chunk. She also kept telling me that if I do not like my cut I can come back the next day and another hairdresser will fix it. This did not sound very reassuring to me in regards to her skill level. She was also trying to sell me on coming in and fixing my hair colour (which was overly green). Her initial advice was to use blue shampoo to cancel out the green. How can anyone be a licensed hairdresser without knowing about the colour theory? I basically wanted to get out of there before more of my hair was hacked. After the "styling" of this horrible cut I looked like a 95 y old woman on a day pass from the old age home, who fell and had her head cut in a lawn mower. On top of it all, this experience (and my ruined hair) cost me $78!! I then had to go somewhere else and pay another 80 to have my hair fixed and properly cut. Now my hair will take me two years to get to the length I had/wanted to keep. The hairdresser who ended up fixing my hair also stated that there are chunks of hair missing in a couple places in the back. I am guessing this is a good barber shop but I do not recommend this place...
Read moreI went here for a basic bang trim on Sunday at around 3:30. There was one taller gentleman there and I asked if he’s able to trim bangs and he says yes. He seemed very friendly and nice but unfortunately completely butchered my bangs. They are uneven all of over and only an inch long in some places. I had to ask him to stop cutting when I realized what he was doing . I asked for just above the eyebrow and the job that was done does not look professional. I go to get my bangs trimmed by a hairdresser to avoid exactly what this hairdresser/barber gave me. They look terrible and unfortunately I will now have to buy clip in bangs to hide what he did to my hair and my hair grows really slow so this will take forever to grow out. He as well charged me $20 for this. Generally when you get bangs trimmed even for a good job it’s only 10. He was the only one there so I’m wondering if he was covering for actual hair dresser and has never had any experience in cutting women’s hair . I wish he would have just told me he didn’t have the experience and couldn’t do it because what he did is not fixable because of how short it is in some areas. I contacted salon and received no response so therefore now I’m posting this review to make other women aware not to get hair cut by male hairdresser here.
I was so upset and panicked at the job done I rushed out without putting my coat on. Like I said seemed like a nice gentleman but doesn’t seem to...
