I was at the Pacific Rim location and did not like the service I got. I decided to surprise my friend to get spark bracelets together. When we got there, I told them that we were early and just wanted to look around. The lady rushed us to sit down and put only the 14k gold ones in front of us and said these ones are the gold ones and showed us the "silver" ones and said these ones are the silver ones (which was not entirely true as there were some white gold pieces). I was glad I knew that they had gold filled (as I'm not a fan of pale 14k gold) and requested for that so she brought them over after. Then she told us that we have 10 min and the next group is on their way. I told her we were early and just wanted to look around and take our time. She then realized that her other group was running late and wanted us to switch our time slot with them. I was ok with that but it doesn't mean they should cut our time short and rush us, especially when there was another person working there. Regardless, it was rude of her to do so. Then she brought over a box of charms and didn't show us all the options. I got a bit flustered and just chose from the box. I don't know why I settled with that because I downloaded their 29 page document in advance and I knew there were a lot of options. The box only had a few nice ones so it didn't take long to choose. She didn't tell us what we got and tbh I am skeptic if she even knows the products at the store. We were pretty excited about this experience and the lady did not explain anything. She just did her job and didn't tell us what she was doing, how to take care of the jewlery or what to do if it breaks. I realized the next day that the welding job she did on mine was still scratchy. I can't tell if it's welded on properly. Anyway, when I got the bill, I was a bit shocked. I asked her to show me the breakdown and then she did. I realized that the "silver ones" she showed me were not all silver. One of the ones that we selected was white gold. I'm fine with paying for white gold but she should've been more transparent. The customer service I got from her was very disappointing. The lack of care, rushing us, not being transparent, and laziness made this special and expensive experience not worth it and disappointing. I was expecting better customer service since this location is at the downtown Pacific Rim Hotel and they look like they sell somewhat nicer/ pricer jewelry but I got night market service. The only reason why I am giving this 2 stars is that the bracelets are pretty cute and I like the idea of permanent jewelry. I hope they hold up. I was hoping to get a couple more in the future with other friends but I will not be...
Read moreI can't say it was a bad experience but it also wasn't special or amazing as well. To be honest the 'spark' products are pretty standard so one would hope that going to one of these appointments, you'll be left with a great memory and impression.
The ladies working there weren't rude, but lacked a personable touch. All but one person made very dry and robotic conversations. It was very "here are the chains, here are are the add-ons, which would you like?" The process felt a bit rushed, as the appointment was only 20 mins long and out of that 20, the person sparking takes about half that time.
What made it more less of an ideal experience was that the owner was there the entire time and did not make any eye contact or say hello. Sitting only on the other side of the counter, it felt like my guest and I were invisible.
Product placement was clean and the space of course is dreamy with its neutral hues. It's extremely photogenetic and a great backdrop to the jewelry.
To me the experience lacked warmth and authenticity, leaving somewhat a foggy and stale memory. Hope this will improve...
Read moreSadly my friend and I had an unpleasant experience. We came into the appointment so stoked and left pretty upset. It wasn't a very welcoming environment. The first girl that approached us was pretty nice but the girl who helped us pick out the chain/charm was really standoffish and unfriendly. She seemed really irritated that I was taking my time to decide on a chain (which I thought was the whole point of booking an appointment, to be able to take your time and have the full experience). And because I felt rushed I left regretting my choice and it bothered me for the rest of the day but I've made peace with it now and grown to like it. For how disappointing the whole experience was I'm not sure if it's worth it. I'm very conflicted because I kind of want more bracelets to stack with the one I have but I don't want to go back and have another bad experience and have it ruin my day. It could just be that maybe she was having a bad day but reading the other reviews I don't know that that's the case. I really hope that there's a shift in the environment because it's quite intimidating and...
