I went for an RMT session at Xylia Spa on a weekday afternoon right after lunch, so there were not many spa guests at that time. The facilities were new and comfortable, and the Front Desk Receptionist was welcoming. The RMT was clear in her instructions and scoping questions (so that she could get a good understanding of what areas I would like to have worked on) and patiently answered any questions I had throughout the session. The RMT was also able to properly adjust the strength of her massage as she worked through various areas. I was quite happy with her level of work and I felt that a lot of my soreness had been alleviated after the treatment.
The downside I had with regards my visit was the fact that during my treatment, while I was face down and was not covered on the upper half of my body (since the RMT was working there), I heard my treatment room door open. Whomever opened the door didn't say anything and closed the door after a few seconds, but it was a bit jarring since I couldn't see anything and was in a bit of a vulnerable state. The RMT advised that it was a spa guest who looked like they were looking for their treatment room, and I had to ask why treatment rooms here are not locked during treatments (apparently, doors are not locked during treatments). So I think the spa needs to do better in terms of guest flow management: if it was really a guest who opened my door, then either have treatment doors locked during treatments, have a visible sign outside the door stating that there is an ongoing treatment happening, or have better indicators within the spa area to guide guests back to their own treatment rooms (i.e. keeping guests' treatment room doors open if they step out so they know which door to return to, having a spa staff member guide or instruct guests on where to return to, etc.). For a higher end spa like this, I would have thought that having treatment room doors randomly opened during treatments would be an issue that should have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI loved the whole experience. From entering the spa to the exit. The receptionist was great in explaining the different mixtures of the oils and teas to what other offers they have. She was nice letting me have a tour to see the couple's spa area. Let me say that much. It is a perfect Date day activity. The couple's spa area is like a little heaven of luxurious life and treatments. A lot of privacy and relaxation. Perfect to escape for a couple who does not has much time for each other, due to work. My Massage therapist Michael did a great job with the massage and explanation of the Shower experience. I could have spent way more time in the shower as it was so relaxing. Time flew by way too fast. My treatment room was a little hideaway perfectly warm in welcoming to every guest. Overall the experience was rejuvenating as it should be. I am glad I treated myself to my Birthday with this Spa day. I am certain I do it again, with some of the other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow - lots of things to love about this spa. Very high-end but also down-to-earth and friendly. I love the personal care and how you can work together with them to choose your journey. My therapist, Lena, was incredibly intuitive with her treatment in relieving the tension in my shoulders in a way that I've never experienced with an RMT.
It's been my second time with them. The first time was with my husband and we had a couple's treatment. It was so nice to enjoy the jacuzzi and day bed with one another after the treatment. The steam shower was a really nice treat too.
Oh - and I should also mention the products - all natural. I haven't had a facial yet but it's all with Green Envee products which I, by the way, love. I bought some of the products, and love the facial mist and...
