Domo Sushi(Order from our website&SAVE MORE) — Restaurant in Vancouver

I have nothing but praise to sing about Domo Sushi. I would rate 6 stars if I could. The best sushi restraunt I've ever been to for this price. We ate here as much as we could while we were here on vacation. I'm so fortunate we found them on the first day of out trip. Not only are their prices completely unbeatable and portions very large, but the food quality is stupendus. The menu is very large. There isn't much seating, but that's how you know a restraunt is good. Their udon soup was SO HOT so I had to wait a bit for it to cool down; but that would be good to order to-go because it would still be piping hot when you would get it at home. Their sushi plating was very pretty as well. They give you free green tea that is perfectly brewed. Their scallop quality was very fresh and sweet. The mochi was only $3 for 2 pieces and they were nice and large, very flavourful, just how I like them. The owners are incredibly friendly and the food came out very very quickly. They seem very familiar with their regulars that would come in and I love that. I wish we had Domo Sushi back home because they will be the thing I miss most from Vancouver. I took a takeaway of yam tempura avocado, spicy tuna avocado and cheese + salmon (upgraded to wild salmon). The guy over there that cuts the sushi gave me a "sinewy cut" for the Tuna, disgusting and spit out every piece, the wild salmon tastes like rubber with Philadelphia cheese, the yam avocado was fine, the size of the sushi? do an OK sign with your index and thumb, it's half that size. Not sure where they buy their fish but the cuts, texture and taste was subpar. I asked for a bit more wasabi, because there was like a small dot there, so infront of me, he berates the waitress and me for requesting that, in Mandarin, the waitress was helpful and nice. A wonderful little place that you could easily miss if you weren't looking for it. Like other reviewers say, the staff is so wonderful, sweet and helpful, which makes the experience at Domo Sushi so unique. The best part is the speed at which the food comes. There were a couple of other customers in the restaurant and I was there pretty early (11:30am), but from when I ordered, the food was out within five minutes. Good portion size and tasty food. I had the Negitoro hand rolls, a spicy tuna roll and a spicy Salmon roll. In and out of the restaurant within 20 minutes.
