Christ Church Cathedral is truly a special place. From the moment you step inside, you feel a sense of welcome and inclusivity that’s hard to find. No matter who you are, you’re greeted with warmth and acceptance, making it a space where everyone can feel at home.

The architecture is absolutely stunning, with every detail reflecting the Cathedral’s rich history and beauty. It’s the kind of place where you can just sit and admire the craftsmanship, letting the peaceful atmosphere wash over you.

What really sets Christ Church apart, though, is The Maundy. This incredible initiative uses food to do more than just feed people—it builds community, promotes health, and fosters a sense of belonging for those affected by poverty. The café, open for lunch on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, provides not just a meal but also a place to feel seen and cared for. Whether you sit down for a meal or take it to go, there’s a real sense of community and compassion in everything they do.

All in all, Christ Church Cathedral is more than just a beautiful building—it’s a place where inclusivity, care, and connection come together in a truly meaningful way. If you’re looking for a space that nourishes both the soul and the...

I enjoy seeing various churches when I travel. This church was an exceptional experience. The grounds and exterior are exceptional and very well maintained. Walking inside is breathtaking and very peaceful. A volunteer said hello and aswered our questions and explained some of the history of this beautiful building. Vancouver has done an exceptional job of maintaining the historical significance, while building what is now the haert of the city around it. The citizens in the community came together to build this church. Boatbuilders built the trusses, tongue and groove ceilings and pews on their days off work. The craftsmanship is exceptional. The original stained glass window is still in place as are many new artistic contributions. There was no music or sermons at the time of our visit, but tomorrow I am going to live stream the service and music. I have no doubt it too will be exceptional! If you are ever in Vancouver, I would highly recommend visiting this...

Re: Candlelight Concerts

The concert itself was wonderful, with very talented artists. It was a magical experience for an otherwise perfect performance. The church setting and acoustics were perfect for this venue.

However, I could not give the venue organizers 5 stars, as we did not receive our paid for add-on photo. We were surprised that the photo was simply someone with a cell phone (not the quality we expected) and in the end the photo was not provided to us. I highly recommend people absolutely avoid the photo ad on, it's not worth the extra money for a grainy cell photo, and especially if you never receive it. Since we didn't take any other photos while there, we can't help but feel...

One of the most beautiful Churches I have ever had the pleasure of seeing inside. It is also one of the most historic! Open to the public for prayer and worship ( Check Christ's Church Burrard street Van B.C. website for times and events) I was there to pay respects to Queen Elizabeth the 2nd after she passed away last week. The Queen lived her entire life with a strong Christian faith based on Bible principal's and she attended service here on her first visit to B.C. Canada as Princess Elizabeth in the 1950's. Adorned with amazing stained glass windows and incredible wood work it is truly a jewel in the crown of Vancouver & a must see when in Vancouver.

For all these years living in Vancouver, I never knew this peaceful and sacred cathedral existed. Probably because I was a resident, and now I am a visitor. I also happened to stay at the Hyatt, which is directly across the street from the cathedral. We entered purely by coincidence or because it started to rain and we got time to spare. It was magnificent. The structure, the arts and stories on the stained glasses, the cross, the praying stand… I’m no Christian nor Catholic, but the presence was strong. For visitors, if you are in between meals and tired from shopping and sightseeing, this cathedral may recharge your worn spirit.
