I came here for my 40th birthday with two girlfriends for one night and my husband for the following evening. The room was nice and the location was perfect with a beautiful view. At checkout time I went to drop off my keycards and get a copy of the bill and they asked me to stay in the lobby for 10 to 15 minutes while they checked the room for damages. I said ok as I was taken aback (what more could I say?) and while irritated, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed this was maybe their policy. 5 minutes later I watched not one but two different Caucasian couples check out within 2 minutes. Neither of them had to get their rooms checked. I calmly asked the person at the front desk to explain to me why I was waiting while the previous guests weren't. She immediately went to go get her acting manager, who said it was policy and I was a "new" guest so they needed to check the room. I pressed further for a more substantial explanation and she told me that it was the weekend and people sometimes used the room to party and so this was just their policy. I again pointed out the people before me that did not receive the same treatment and she said she would make a note on our file and would not check our room the next time we stayed for a visit, which is definitely not ever happening. I was so embarrassed by this treatment at the end of what was a very lovely stay. To be treated like a second class guest was disheartening and I had to exit the lobby with tears of frustration in my eyes. This felt like straight up racial discrimination. I will not be coming back here, and I will warn all my people but especially the BIPOC community to steer clear unless they want to pay $600 a night to be mistreated. It's truly unfortunate because this last 30 minutes out of 48 hours turned my experience completely around and really derailed what was such a great celebratory weekend. Not the memory I wanted to take home with me. Do better.

An addendum: I have been told that staff will undergo customer service training as well as sensitivity training and that their arbitrarily enforced room check policy will be done away with. I hope they follow through and I encourage future guests to keep them accountable and reach out if you find this...

I don't consider this accommodation to be a hotel, it is a high rise apartment complex...there are permeant residents living in the building as well as the short term guests staying there. There is no restaurant, bar, coffee shop or lounge area in the building, they don't even provide a guest bathroom in the very small reception area. |We found the people working the reception a little hard to communicate with due to either their attitude or cultural differences, we are still not sure, I have to say it was awkward at times.|Our two bedroom Executive Suite apartment was large enough in the kitchen and living area however the two bedrooms and bathrooms were small. There was nothing special about the room and at $750.00 Canadian dollars per night it was expensive for what we got, on the positive side it was very clean. Bathroom products were not memorable.|The bathroom fan is controlled by the air-conditioning nob, we had some issues and ended up opening the window in the bedroom for fresh air.|There is a large coin laundry on-site which was handy.|Location is close to Robson St and a number of good restaurants, a small grocery store is across the street.|We wouldn't stay again, simply because we prefer the convenience of staying in hotel accommodation with somewhere to eat drink and...

An exceptional place to stay. We had a one bedrooms suite which had its own kitchen with fridge, cooker, microwave and dishwasher. A study with fab views, a large bathroom, large sitting room with TV and a dining room. The bedroom had its own TV and we never heard anyone as it was well insulated. The entire place was immaculate. Daily cleaning was above and beyond as were the common areas of the hotel, constantly cleaned. The aircon worked beautifully and honestly we had the best 4 nights sleep of our entire 3 week trip. |The gym was small but well equipped and across the road from the hotel is the Urban Fayre supermarket with an superb collect selection of food, you can even eat in and take out ready meals as well as food to cook at the hotel. There are restaurants all around and coffee shops. Breakfast at the Paris Baguette everyday was amazing.|Couldn’t fault this hotel and the staff were very helpful, allowed us to out room 4 hrs earlier than check in time and allowed an extra hour passed...

This hotel is in my top ten "do not stay here" list. We had the misfortune of a three week stay and it was horrible. Although the staff can smile nicely, they will help you with nothing else, this is consistant from cleaners, front desk and management. Our room was not mopped for the three weeks we were there so kitchen floor was...yuck. A constant ten minute wait for elevators because they were being used by workmen who were working in the hotel...loudly, until 9pm - drilling and banging. The rooms appliances were broken, including the iron and hairdryer, luckily the kettle worked. The water was shut off from 9.30am to 6pm for 2 days which initiated a room change at our request and grudgingly supplied. Recommendation: stay anywhere else, there's a plethora of hotels in Vancouver.

Stayed here during the Christmas holiday. This hotel is in the heart of downtown and within walking distance to everything, tons of restaurants/bars in close proximity including Shangri-La which is just across the street. We had a 2-bedroom suite that comes with a kitchenette and a balcony. The suite can sleep 4 people and still has lots of space to move around and Wi-fi is included. The kitchen has fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, nespresso, and pots and pans. If you are in the mood of cooking, you can get everything from Urban Fare across the street. The hotel also has parking spaces available underground. For the price we paid and the location of this hotel, definitely will stay here again.

When I worked in corporate this was our go to place. My fiancé and I work alot, I'm a nurse and she works in mental health. We haven't been able to go far to unwind and chose the weekend in Vancouver. Rates are good for summer and your not renting a room. This place is a full 1 bedroom apartment and worth every penny. Very clean, friendly staff at check in. The only things I didn't like are we are in the 7th floor and I was spoiled before being on a high floor. Also the parking cost is extremely high at $48 per night. Otherwise it's great and she loves it.
