I would like to commend two of your staff who helped us out greatly on Thursday, July 28 & Friday, July 29, 2022. Aidan McAllister received our 2024 Mini Countryman on Thursday morning July 28. Our car had broken down on the side of Highway 17 on our way into Sidney and we had a tow truck haul it there for repairs. Your service advisor Adrian was exceptionally kind and professional with us as we began trying to get our car diagnosed and repaired.
We feel Aidan went the extra mile for us as we were in Victoria from out of town and our last day in the city was Friday. We had to get the car diagnosed and repaired quickly as we were leaving back to Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday. Adrian was incredibly accommodating to our needs and went above and beyond assisting us.
We had to leave the car overnight and on Friday morning he informed us that we would need to replace the alternator, after replacing the battery on Thursday. Your Service Foreman, Sam Mason became involved with the repairs, as there were no alternators available in any reasonable timeframe and we had to have the car operational.
Sam provided us with exceptional service and professionalism, both removing and then reinstalling the alternator that we had rebuilt @ Brian Roberts Auto Electric Ltd.
Sam worked through the issues on our car, communicated effectively with us, and even stayed late to ensure our car was completed and we were able to drive away on Friday evening with it working perfectly.
Both Adrian and Sam should be commended for their attention to customer service, efficiency and professionalism. We frankly would’ve been stuck in Victoria for five extra days if it wasn’t for these two individuals efforts to have our car repaired. Read moreI recently purchased a used 2021 MINI Cooper SE from MINI Victoria. Overall, I’m happy with the car and the sales process, but there were highs and lows in my experience.
On the positive side: Ruben, my sales rep, went above and beyond. He personally came to pick me up in Nanaimo and brought me to Victoria for a test drive, gave me a thorough walkthrough of the vehicle, and has been consistently available for all of my follow-up questions as I get to know my new car. He’s even checked in with me after the sale to see how I’m getting along, which has felt personal and special. His product knowledge and genuine care really stood out.
On the other hand: I was disappointed in how the financing process was handled. Although I was pre-approved quickly, I wasn’t given a choice of lender and only later realized that financing could have been arranged through RBC, where I bank. This not only would have been more convenient, but I also missed out on a significant points promotion that mattered to me. As a consumer, I value informed consent and transparent communication, and I felt that important parts of the process weren’t fully explained.
