My partner and I wanted to try out this restaurant as we had always walked passed and it seemed like a popular restaurant. I had purchased a groupon for this place and I called to make reservations a couple days before. I requested for us to sit on the patio the man I spoke to on the phone said they don't do reservations for the patio but he put a note beside my reservation stating we wanted a patio seat. So we go for dinner and show up on time and it looks fairly busy on the patio but I noticed 2 spots available, I tell the young lady I have reservations and that the man on the phone said if there were spots available on the deck we could sit there...well she told me that those spots were reserved and the people were coming soon..... even though I was told they don't reserve the patio seats.... so she seated us inside.. 1st it was SO hot inside and it felt crammed. 2nd we ordered drinks and a pizza , our drinks came and we finished our drinks and we noticed that our pizza was sitting there ready for us to eat but it wasn't brought to us for about 5 minutes and when the person brought us our pizza they didn't ask if we wanted a refill on our drinks and she didn't even come back to ask us how our food was..... once all our food was done she came and picked up the empty plates and then proceeded to ask how the food was and walked away. We waited another 10-12 minutes and at this point no one came back to ask if I wanted my receipt so I called another worker over and asked for my bill... Not the best experience we have had , food was good but...

A place that DOESN'T serve French fries!!

And I enjoyed my visit!

Highlights: Reasonable prices Nice patio view Dog friendly patio Pretty tasty food Roomy, Accessible washrooms

Consider: Could get busy because of the nice location if pursuing patio seating Fewer washrooms

Friends and I went on a Sunday, at noon- it opens at noon, and we had no problem grabbing a table for four. The menu is a good size- definitely give it a look. Two of my friends got the nachos- with added protein. They usually like their nachos over-done, and my friends were pleased with their food. I had a bite of nachos with the added chicken- I highly recommend that, for sharing or solo! The chicken was quite reasonably sprinkled over the nachos with some love, not just lightly. It was tasty, not too salty for me.

Now please excuse my photos- the blue umbrella really adds a colour filter, and everything looks so blue! I had potato salad as a side to my chicken wings- it was a normal potato salad. Absolutely enjoyed the Louie Blue flavour of the wings though, which had a very slight heat- my friend that is sensitive to spicy flavors could tolerate it well. It was very flavourful. My only complaint (all comes down to preference?) Is that the generous and lovely sauce removed the crispness of the chicken wings. But the sauce made it up for the lack of crisp. Server was wonderful, able to check in on us as the customers started arriving more and more.

I would come again, to sample the pizza- it...

I recently hosted myself a Milestone Birthday Party at Lido Bistro. The location was perfect, an Inner Harbour experience on a beautiful summer night. I reserved the entire inside space which did not cost any reservation fee. Steve and his culinary team took the time to create a menu that offered awesome bang for my buck and had no issues catering to guests that had some special requirements, all the food looked and tasted delicious! The bar staff were so friendly and helpful and offered a great gift by designing a tasty signature drink to celebrate my occasion, what an awesome, thoughtful touch! I created a playlist for the party, enjoying it was as easy as signing into my Spotify account on the Lido tablet. A couple of simple decorations was all I went with, the awesome view of the harbour took care of the rest! The event was exactly what I had hoped for and planning it was stress free and easy, thanks to Steve and his team! A good time had by all! No matter if your looking for a spot to host an event or just a great place with great food, drink and people to spend a bit of your time, let the Lido team take care of it and just,...

Don’t let the “small menu choices” deceive you. The food is next level. If you’re looking for something that slaps, please try their pizza. Drinks are great as well!

Gluten Free food is hard to find in beautiful Victoria so I was excited to try Lidos. After walking 45 minutes from my hotel to collect my pizza, I joyfully strutted back to my room, pie in hand. I blazed past the poor folks standing around at other establishments feeling very chuffed with my recent purchase. I should also mention I’ve been camping for a few days and this was my first re-entry into civilization with all its culinary delights. I am sure you can image my disappointment when I plopped down in my hotel and peeled open the lid to find the smallest most pathetic pizza I’d ever seen. Tiny, wet pizza with rock hard crust and wilted basil stared back at me. The pizza was so small in fact that it slid to one of the four corners of the box and I almost missed it altogether. I looked for cheese, but none was found. Just sauce. Wet, cold sauce. The fact that they are charging an extra 3.5 from this rock hard crust is a slap in the face. Beyond annoyed.
