Today was the worst experience I have ever had at any cinaplex. This is my second time at this location. I took both my kids to watch aquaman. Pre ordered my tickets and snacks, because we are from thorold not welland and this holiday season I figured that I would try the welland location. Now I do understand there are policies , such as no phone, no noise . However , if this policy applies to a toddler who was fussy for a little bit and then stopped . Then why not state that no toddlers are allowed in the movie? Especially a family all age movie ? This guy came up to me in the middle of the movie and told me that I need to take the phone from the toddler because it's disrupting others. Now , there was no volume On , on the phone , and the light was dimmed all the way down, the purpose of givin the toddler the phone was just to keep him occupied so that he won't become fussy. Anyone with a good conscience could have seen that , also the theater was not full, not even half full. When he came and told me that I needed to take the phone from the toddler and turn it off, I abided by his request and did such. Upon doing that, it caused the toddler to become fussy and started to cry. To which I comforted him AND HE STOPPED CRYING. However, that was not good enough, the guy came back and told me that I will have to step outside with the baby. So I told him no, I will not leave my other child unsupervised in aroom full of strangers. He kept telling me I need to l3ave . Then I said If u have an issue with me being here, then refund me my tickets and I will leave. He left and came back with coupons, saying that he will give me movie coupons if I leave his theater . Embarrassed for the way I was treated, I took my children and left. Now, as I mentioned, I do understand that there are policies in place to allow people to enjoy their movie they paid for. However, what about the policies for parents who have babies or toddlers? The parents who would like to take their family to the movie theater, but they have to take their baby as well? Where are the policies for those people? Your staff could have found other solutions to the " issue " . Where he could have offered us a seat at the very back where , if I let the toddler play with the phone, while the rest of the family watch the movie. Or they could have offered to assist me in whatever way, to help with not makin the baby get fussy . Nope, instead they preferred to kick out a mom and her 2 kids . Never will I go back to this location and I'll be sure to tell everyone in the niagara region that I encounter, about my...

The theatre is pretty clean. Someone is always walking around with a broom and dustpan. At least while we were there.
Canteen staff were very polite and helpful. However, my son and I had gone to get change for the arcade (more later) and stood in line. Once the family in front of us finished at the register, the young man behind the counter simply walked away and started talking with another staff member about who knows what ... without as much as a "someone will be with you in a second".
Otherwise, the prices at the canteen are high to say the least. But, it's a movie theatre, so it is expected. BUT ... $5 and some odd cents for a bottle of water??!!
Bathrooms were clean, but a little smelly. Although, LESS smelly than our usual visits.
Played the arcade. SMALL arcade. Six or seven machines. One out of order. One "Play 'Til You Win" Claw Machine. A Candy Claw Machine. Sit-Down Racing Game. A hockey gumball game of some sort.
There is also a "Stack The Blocks" game, which we tried. You be familiar with the flashing lights that go back and forth and you need to stop them in the correct spaces. We stopped them in the right places and "won" a minor prize. Which the machine did not spit out. My son brought his concern to the staff and they said that they will contact the game owner and get our Minor Prize. We'll see...
Read moreI understand that the concession stand prices are not even close to being reasonable that is where the theaters make the money they need to get the movies(can't refuse though 27 dollars for two pops, a popcorn and a bad of candy....ridiculous). Besides that the recliners do not recline far enough back so it feels like you are in between the spot that is completely upright and reclined to a comfortable position and it creates an uncomfortable viewing experience. The chairs are comfortable at first, but the half position of the recline and the footrests make it quickly become uncomfortable. The reclined position does not make for the best viewing angle of the screen. The commercials are unwanted-not many point out the fact that really we are paying to see commercials. The trailers which are great to see-upcoming movies-there were two of them, rather see more trailers and no commercials. The sound for the movie was okay-not to loud, not to soft. The movie went out of focus a few times-but only for a second or two and then came back in so it was not that noticeable. I don't go to see many movies in the theaters since for me and my daughter was a 50 dollar night for us-she said the movie was okay and enjoyed the trip there and back more. So guess this means more movies in the comfort of our own home we can pause and make our own healthy snacks for a fraction...
