There was no mention on the web page or at the time I made the reservation of an extra charge for my dog. It was not until check-in when I was told of a fee being added to my reservation for the three night stay. That fee added $120 to my stay. I was not too concerned at first because I thought, as with other major hotel chains where I've stayed that it was security deposit that would be refunded upon my departure and a check of the room for any damages. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. It is frustrating because for the three days we stayed, we did not ask for the room to be cleaned and only requested fresh towels and tissue paper. Until people saw my hound, they had no idea he was even in the room, because he is quiet and well-mannered, better than most children.||There should be two bath towels for each person that can occupy a room because the towels are so small it takes at least two to adequately dry off since the exhaust fan barely functions. Additionally, the stained and grungy bath towels and wash cloths should be relegated to cleaning supplies or tossed out. I was very thankful I brought a few of my own when I took out one of the wash cloths to clean my face and it looked like it had already been used by a mechanic to wipe their face. If bleach can't remove the stain - it's time to go!||The breakfast area is not supervised and some "long-term" residence helped themselves to much of the food leaving little choice for those like myself. Often there were no boiled eggs left, no milk, and only a few slices of bread. Someone should be monitoring the breakfast area to be sure the "honesty" system is not abused and that all the guests have access to a complete breakfast variety.||There are no baggage carts at this location to facilitate the transport of suitcases and other items to one's room. Luckily, we were able to park fairly close to our room and use the sliding door to bring in our items. Still, it was quite a task for two senior citizens.||The grassy walkway between the hotel and the car dealership has a number of concrete hazards that appear to be the remnants of an old fence. They are not easy to see in the dark and can cause one to trip and fall. Additionally, at the rear of the hotel is an area of grass with a picnic table that is poorly lit and not well kept. The dumpster are also located in this area - not so inviting - and the fencing is dilapidated and falling down. It could be a nice area for a picnic or walking one's dog if it was better kept. It appears that there is a general lack of pride among the staff and the owner of...
Read moreRight from the get-go, my experience with this hotel was unsatisfactory. I had booked my stay as part of a group booking with my dragon boat team, but even getting ahold of the hotel to book the stay was next to impossible. I had to call 89 times before anyone even answered the phone, then, as it turns out, my reservation was not only NOT booked with the group discount, but it was also booked for only one night instead of two, so I returned from the dragon boat festival in desperate need of someplace to shower and change only to find I’d been kicked out of my room. All of my bags, in which I had packed my wedding rings, my iPad AND my heart meds, had been unceremoniously removed from the room and dumped in the lost and found. Fortunately nothing was missing from my luggage, but my valuables could have easily been stolen sitting in the lost and found. I was further told by the front desk that they had tried to contact me, which was an absolute lie, as there were NO missed calls on my phone. Fortunately one of my teammates took me in that night so I would at least have somewhere to sleep but the rooms were atrocious. They were dirty, in disrepair, missing amenities. In one of my teammates’ rooms there were blood stains on the pillows, chewed gum stuck to the headboard of the bed, and dirty, used tissues on the floor. Everything about the hotel was a red flag. We were told we could enter through the back entrance because it was closer to our rooms, but, as it turns out, the back part of the ground floor was being used as permanent residences; the back door was propped open with a piece of drywall, which is a major safety concern; there were bugs all in the back stairwell, because the door had been left opened. There was a toilet in the hallway, and the stench in the back stairwell was unbearable. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again and I will ACTIVELY advise anyone I possibly can to...
