On Friday June 20th, I went to the Walmart on Kenaston. The customer service at the Kenaston Walmart is particularly poor. No one seems to have any idea of proper customer care. This Walmart has a 20 item limit for using the self-checkout, which I was not aware as the Walmart I usually attend does not, after the gentleman working this area waved me in (without any eye contact) he turned and saw my very full cart and just kept repeating “that is not allowed” with no other explanation or curtesy…I asked if I could go through the exit gates and then walk around to the checkout lanes and he just said “No!” So I proceeded to a checkout lane…standing and waiting as the checkout person was less than efficient, a manager named Apunam approached me and asked that I move to another checkout, two lanes over…I assumed the lane I was in was closing…but it wasn’t! Customers continued through that lane while I was moved for no apparent reason. Then Apunam opened a closed lane next to me but did not offer me the chance to be checked out sooner as his making me move made my wait longer than it should have been! Once it was my turn to be checked out I was told I would have to bag my own groceries…when I pointed out that as I wasn’t allowed to use the self-checkout and thus bag my groceries that the cashier should do this. I was told that since covid they don’t do this but that the cashier would help me bag my groceries. When I went to customer service to voice my issue with having been moved out of line for no apparent reason, Krisil had nothing to offer in way of explanation other than trying to explain the break rotation process, which had nothing to do with the situation. I said I felt Apunam’s actions were personal as I couldn’t see any reason for moving me from lane to lane with no explanation, but Krisil assured me it wasn’t and then he apologized on Apunam’s behalf…when I said I wanted to speak with Apunam, I was told he was on break??!! Another worker joined the conversation..saying they would investigate by viewing the video and get back to me, but then didn’t ask for my name or number?? And I’m fully aware they were not going to be investigating anything…It’s obvious that these staff have either not been properly trained OR they don’t understand customer service OR they just don’t care. In general, I find the staff at this Walmart to be rude and disrespectful and I thankfully do not have to shop this...
Read moreI am extremely frustrated with Walmart’s relentless promotion of their Mastercard program. Every time I shop, I’m bombarded with aggressive pitches to sign up, even after repeatedly declining. This persistent harassment not only disrupts my shopping experience but also raises serious concerns about Walmart’s business ethics.
Deceptive Practices: There have been reports of customers being misled into signing up for credit cards without fully understanding the terms. Some employees, under pressure to meet quotas, have allegedly downplayed the fact that they’re promoting a credit card, leading to unsuspecting customers being enrolled without explicit consent.
Employee Pressure: It’s disheartening to learn that Walmart employees are coerced into pushing these credit cards, facing potential disciplinary actions if they fail to meet sign-up targets. This creates a high-pressure environment that compromises the integrity of both staff and customer interactions.
Customer Service Issues: Numerous complaints highlight the abysmal customer service associated with Walmart’s Mastercard. Users have reported unrecognized charges and inadequate support when seeking resolutions, leaving them frustrated and distrustful.
Aggressive Marketing: The incessant solicitation at checkout counters is intrusive and disrespectful. Despite clearly declining, customers are repeatedly pressured, turning a simple shopping trip into an uncomfortable ordeal.
Conclusion: Walmart’s Mastercard program appears to prioritize profit over customer well-being, employing questionable tactics that border on exploitation. The company’s insistence on pushing this agenda, even at the expense of customer satisfaction and employee morale, is unacceptable. I urge Walmart to reevaluate their approach and respect the boundaries of...
Read moreThe eye vision centre has the worst customer service ever!!! HORRIBLE. We thought cheap competitive prices 2 pairs for 175.00, it's a joke! So 400.00 some odd dollars later we are told they will be here in 1 week. A little over a week goes by and haven't heard anything so we call and the gentleman said I don't know why they would tell you 1 week, it takes at least 2 weeks, ok fine. 1 pair comes in before the other so that's good, then when the second pair comes in my husband picks them up and brings them home. He takes them out of the case and they are broken! He calls and they say oh you gotta bring them in and we will order a new pair (Super inconvienant as we don't have a car and have actually been having to cab it back and forth to this walmart as busses are highly unregular for us to get there) so she agreed to just order a new pair and we can do an exhange when they come in, great. 2 weeks go by and we call them back as we havent heard anything; she never ordered anything. So we have to wait for them to come in for real this time. Glases came in go to pick them up and the lady informs my husband THEY BROKE HIS PAIR AGAIN!!! and those frames can no longer be ordered so just pick something else out!!! Are you F** kidding me. Now it's another 2 weeks for another pair to come in and there's no refund no discount!!! In my opinion they F up the way they did his second pair should be FREE!! This walmart is a joke - we also got a few groceries on one trip and the cheese I brought home was moldy striaght out of the package... so moldy I couldn't use any of it!!! Worst walmart worst eye...
