Visited this restaurant today. Ordered Salmon tower: it’s a tower with rice, avocado, crab and lots of salmon with wasabi on top - all are in equal proportions and lots of salmon on top. I received my order and was very disappointed: lots of rice, I would say this was just rice only with some avocado, crab and a few tiny pieces of salmon on top (right in the centre). The final product was way different compare to the menu. I asked the waiter why it looks so different and proportion is way different. She spoke to manager, and responded that the picture is picture, but the actual order could look differently. I mentioned that I don’t want to pay for rice, and this food is just rice. Waiter responded again that it is what it is. I said that I want to cancel the order. Waiter went to the manager, I followed her. The manager was hiding behind the curtain in the kitchen when she saw I’m coming. This is very disappointing experience. They didn’t change the food , they didn’t event try to offer me anything. I don’t recommend to visit this restaurant, waste your time and get...
Read moreDo not go there. This is me leaving the store after sitting for not more than an hour. Ordered sea food pancake, calamari, miso soup, spider roll and japchae. Told them million times please make sure there’s no meat. We don’t eat meat like beef, pork, chicken. We even asked the server to write it down vegetarian japchae which is fried potato glass noodles. We were eating then discovered bits of beef pieces. Asked the server what this was and the server immediately took it away and said the chef made a mistake. How can a restaurant take this carelessly? Imagine if someone with certain food allergies comes in and tells them please don’t put this and they “accidentally” put it in. One simple sorry will not be solved for everything. The chef needs to learn to not make mistake when dealing with food. You are working in a restaurant, if something happens to customer it will come down to you. There are many restaurants with less staff and can manage better. I don’t RECOMMEND ANYONE TO...
Read moreI have been a very loyal customer for years here cause I really like their sushi. Every order I make would reach up to $60 for 5 rolls which is a bit tbh. It’s a hit & miss for a friendly tone whenever I call. I don’t like the tone of a younger man who takes the order, not very friendly at all and sometimes arrogant like he doesn’t care whether I order or not but I tolerated him for a while cause I like the place until…I tried another place on Waverley. I was taken by surprised to find out they not only have great sushi but for Approx $20 less too !!! Sorry Umi…you lost me. In today’s market…you’re gonna need...
