There are three DB shopping and dining venues around Discovery Bay including the DB Plaza, which is situated just beyond the ferry pier and south of the Tai Pak Beach. This is a good little mall with a nice range of restaurants, coffee shops, supermarket, food shops, basic retail shops, Wing On Department Store as well as an ice-rink. Some of the eateries are outdoor facing places with outside seating.

Having been away for a fair few months I returned to DB only to find the whole plaza up rooted. No where to sit and enjoy outside. A real building site. Yes...perhaps this will supposedly improve DB but what could have been done better with space allocated to an Ice Rink. There are so few locally owned shops to compete against the big conglomerates it seems we are losing the heart and soul of what DB was built on! Only time will tell if this will turn out to be a monstrous, wide spread, concrete jungle. That said ; it still beats most places on the planet despite the mess it's...
