We: Excuse me, could you tell me what dish is this one? ( the dish looks like linguini or fettuccini with canned tomato)

Staff1: This is bolognese.

We: Sorry, we didn’t order this dish. We ordered tortellini.

Staff1: This is tortellini. I’m from Italy and this is tortellini.

We: Sorry, I don’t think this is tortellini. This looks more like linguini or fettuccini to me and we didn’t order this dish. I love Italian food and I don’t think this one is tortellini. Tortellini has stuffing inside.

Staff1: There are two types. One is with stuffing and the other is long like noodle, like this one. Im from Italy so I know. Let me check with the chef.

After a while.

Staff1: Sorry, the chef said that was tortellini so I brought it out. I don’t know. I will ask chef to bring out the tortellini dish for you. You can have this dish( linguini or fettuccini with canned tomatoes) and I won’t charge you for it. The chef is from France and he doesn’t know.

We left puzzling if the other dishes we ordered are the right dish but we were too hungry to argue.

I would suggest stay away from this restaurant if you are around the area. There are plenty more restaurants in Discocery Bay with good food and they are packed with people. Now, we know why!

Stay away from this restaurant so it won’t ruin your holiday experience unless you like to try some really bad Italian dishes!

Never again!!!

I have eaten and loved Italian food all my life and spent a considerable amount of it in Italy primarily Rome. Italians like the French pride themselves on their sauces... bad sauce = bad food to them. I know Italian chefs that would have gone crazy seeing this mess on my plate. Sauce was watery and had no real flavour apart from a very subtle tomato taste, The chicken was overcooked and dry with even my dog turning her nose up until she realised it was all that was on offer 😁. The garlic bread was also overcooked, seriously how can you overcook garlic bread??? Considering this was the Chefs special I would expect it to be something he/she was proud to serve. If they are proud of serving that they should change career! Pricing was far too expensive and just compounded a miserable meal for me. 1* is too much but lowest...

Food during diner was not eventful which was a let-down as the front decor showed promise, and the gelato we had tried at noon was pretty good. Apologies for playing the race card here, but it is true that the only male local staff was absolutely abysmal. He decided to clear our table when we were still eating. When we pointed that out, he tried to justify his unprofessional and impolite attitude by mentioning that we had already finished one of the dishes and without acknowledging our response, proceeded to clear all items around those who were still eating.
