Tai Pak Beach — Attraction in Hong Kong

After visting this nice beach many times, I have to say that this is by far the best artifical/man-made beach in the whole of Hong Kong. The sand is very smooth and soft and the water is fun to relax next to. Near the beach, there are tons of restaurants which serve Western Cuisine and Asian Cuisine. It is also fairly easy to get to compared to other beaches in Hong Kong, like Trio Beach which requires a hike around Sai Kung to get there if you don’t own a boat. On the east side of the beach, there is a fun playground which has a fast zipline which is free to use. There are also some climbing frames which are connected to slides which have the potential to make you slide down really fast! Lastly, there is a mall called ‘DB Plaza’ which is pretty cool if you are adventurous and like to explore new places. It is a very spacious and nice beach reachable with a ferry or bus. If you take a ferry, go to Pier 3 on Hong Kong island . Depending on the day of the week, it runs every 45minutes or an hour to and from there. It only takes about 30 to 45 minutes ferry ride. On a clear day, you could enjoy the Hong Kong Harbor and the little islands along the way. It is a tour in itself. It cost about HK50. It is not crowded or not much well known. Go on the weekday. It may be crowded on holidays. It is right off the Discovery bay shopping plaza. You could spend a whole afternoon there. The Plaza has lots of unique restaurants.
