PizzaExpress (Discovery Bay) — Restaurant in Islands District

The place itself looked lovely and clean, but most importantly, it implemented social distancing measures strictly, which is always a relief. The food itself, like every pizza express, is good but a little pricey, around the 150-200 dollar range per pizza, which is expected from pizza express.

The servers there are kind, polite and friendly, which I will say is top notch service, again, as expected of every pizza express I go to. I ordered a Margarita pizza with smoked salmon on it, with the upgrade size of Romania size. (There's usually only two sizes, we picked the bigger one. ) I also ordered the spaghetti carbonara, (as always,) and it was delicious, 10/10. Creamy, flavorful and everything great you expect out of a carbonara. Delicious.

One thing I would comment about, (maybe I was just too hungry), but if I had only eaten the carbonara, I don't think I would've been full. My sister at another table had ordered a pizza and shared with her friend, and she wasnt full. I was full after sharing with my partner a large pizza and a spaghetti, so I suppose just keep in mind the portions for the amount...

Inadequate food for the price you pay for it especially seeing we ended up sending the kids food back due to it being cold, not even luke warm. Not the best service, the staff are rushing around and forgetting stuff, maybe if they had some organization service would be better, Disappointed with the response that we couldn't have the desert platter, apparently it will take 20mins to do and I quote "we are so busy" Well I'm sat here and I counted 20 people in total !?! This place is one of my son’s favorite pizza place in DB. Unfortunately, the staffs who approached me and my son today were forcing me to scan the QR code (LeavingHomeSafe App) when I asked if I could just write down my name and phone number down as I prefer that. But they said scanning the QR code is the only options.
