I had the great pleasure of spending one term of my exchange year at HKU at University Hall. Although the name is a bit misleading in the way that it is the hall furthest away from the campus, it is a great place and I am happy I went there. The people I met there are still my friends today even after 4 years of my time at UHall. I was lucky getting a room on the first floor with access to the balcony surrounding the building offering a marvelous view over the west of Hong Kong Island. Read moreVery nice environment. Visited during open day but there was simply too many people, which ruined the vibe. To be honest, I thought it would be more preserved but it was super dilapilated and all the floors were broken, walls cracked and ceiling seemingly dangerously about to collapse on us. The toilet was clean but unpleasant as the urinals were too closely installed, which defeats the purpose of urinals and violates our rights of personal space.
The gym room is super cool and I really liked the design.
