Arrived and were directed across the street to be seated. The street was very busy and dangerous to cross. Asked about the bathroom and were directed inside behind the kitchen. Very small and not the cleanest bathroom but fine for a quick go I suppose. Finally crossed and asked to be seated. They sat us on the beach which was lovely. We waited 15 minutes before anyone came by to take our order or even give us menus. Finally came back with our menus and we ordered water and soda to start before we decided on other drinks. Waited 45 minutes for water. When they served my soda water they rimmed the glass with salt, when I asked for a new glass the server said I would have to pay for another one. When I said I didn't want to drink salt water, (if I wanted salt water I would have drank from the ocean) he said it wasn't his problem. Asked to move from the beach to an empty table so we would actually get served, they said no. Waited another 30 minutes and got fed up, went to cancel our order, the one person in the restaurant told us to talk to the kitchen to cancel. We tried to talk to our server and he asked who took the order, we said he did and he started gaslighting us, saying he wasn't our server and didn't take our order. Finally we walked straight to the kitchen to cancel our order and found out it hadn't even been placed. The kitchen staff was lovely, apologetic, friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately the servers were not. No idea if the food was good, didn't have an extra hour...
Read moreOur family of 5 arrived and there were no available tables for 5. There were several tables with 2 or 3 people at a table that seats 6. They brought us an extra chair and we sat a table for 4. It started raining before we placed our order and the waiter let us know that our seats on the beach would not be a good idea in the rain. So we ordered our meals to go. All staff that we interacted with were kind and courteous.
We ordered a variety of vegetarian options and they were ALL delicious: Vegetable Gyozas, Avocado Furai, Banana Caribe, Avocado/Heart of Palm Hosomakis, Heart of palm/cream cheese/scallion avocado rolls, avocado/cream cheese/heart of palm California rolls, avocado/cream cheese/heart of palm furai rolls. Despite having basically the same ingredients in each roll, they all taste different. We would absolutely go back. The smoothies with ice cream were not impressive. We ordered 5 flavors (strawberry, mango, soursop, pineapple, and melon).
All in all, we would go here again. I'd be interested in trying the salad or the Green Poke Bowl, but I'd probably order the same rolls because they...
Read moreFirst time at sushi wave; skeptical to try at first but we really felt like trying it and it didn’t disappoint.
Food was good, I didn’t try the sushi, my partner did and said he liked it. Poke bowl with tilapia was pretty good, sauces are really where I think they’ve done a good job. We also ordered some pork gyozas which I think are probably the most expensive gyozas I’ve ever had in my life but the sauce was very good. Also, think more spring rolls meet gyozas, a bit crunchier than potstickers.
The atmosphere was good, no music - sometimes that’s for the best. Most importantly, great service. We had a couple of guys taking care of our table and they were very cordial and helpful with making adjustments to our orders due to allergies....
