Cris is a gem he’s sweet and kind and attentive to his customers. The area where his spot is located in cocles is colorful and clean which is important to me as a chef. I had the curry goat served with rice and peas or beans as they call it side salad. My review is based merely off the flavor the quality and being a chef. You can come to your own conclusions. The goat was not my fave it was too oily for my liking and missing the heat, meat and peppah on my serving I got mostly bones that were massive and even too large to pick up which resulted in me making a mess on my white clothes that day due to it not being cut smaller like I’m used to buying it in Canada or how we would serve it in Jamaica. The presentation was unique he serves it on a banana leaf but true the leaf didn’t absorb any of the excess oil. Everything but the food was a vibe for me. His energy his smile and hospitality is unmatched. I hear the chicken is better than the goat and loved that he had a good selection of items from fish to ackee and salt fish. Would definitely try something else regardless of my first experience. I also had a helados peanut flavor that was amazing and my son had a oreo cookie one he also enjoyed but I don’t drink cow milk so be nice to have a vegan option available. I also had a hiel *local drink made with ginger lime and cane sugar or sugar but his didn’t have that local flavor I been having around town it was missing the zing for me definitely needed more...

Hands down the best Caribbean food we’ve ever had! The jerk chicken literally fell right off the bone, and the plantains were so sweet — the perfect pair, unlike anywhere else we tried. The smell of the grill pulls you in before you even see the stand, and the music and beach vibes are absolutely unmatched.

You can see everyone working together to make this beautiful little spot come alive, and you can truly taste the soul and love in every bite. It’s worth the wait (the line stretches down the beach for a reason). And honestly, the prices were so affordable compared to other places — especially for how much better the food was.

If you’re in the area, do not miss this place — you won’t find a better meal...

Stopped by Take It Easy and had the jerk chicken—it’s a Jamaican classic, but they nailed it here with unique Costa Rican Caribbean flair. The rice and beans were on point, the maduro plantains hit the sweet spot, and the salad brought it all together. Super flavorful, well-balanced plate. You can tell they put care into the cooking.

Chill atmosphere, friendly service, and honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in the area. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for...
