Compared to the other main malls (particularly Tbilisi Mall and East Point), City Mall has the most "international" feel to it. It is still being expanded, but already the premium mall in Tbilisi probably.
Tbilisi Mall is good as such but has a bit of a dated 1980's vibe to it, mostly owing to its design and comparatively low intensity lighting, and while East Point is modern, it's open-air concept makes it more challenging to visit comfortably when it's too cold, too hot or rainy outside. City Mall is a modern covered mall, and in my view it eclipses the other two.
City Mall is fairly large, somewhat maze-like, and bound to increase further in size in the next year or so, as new sections come online. It has a large Goodwill supermarket as part of it (someone else mentions a Carrefour but I didn't find that), and a food area near the cinema on the top floor.
There's fast food (McDonald's, KFC, with Burger King coming soon), Georgian food, coffee, pizza and some other choices over there.
Like other Georgian malls, the emphasis appears to be strongly on fashion brands, clothes in general and cosmetics. There's one electronics store also, but overall Georgian mall owners don't seem to travel too far afield to look for ideas, and prefer to stick with old concepts; even if the mall itself looks shiny and new.
Modern malls, like in East and Southeast Asia (like the bigger malls in Hong Kong, Singapore, and malls like Iconsiam in Bangkok) could probably provide more ideas about conceptual and design variety, to make the mall more of a recreational destination rather than just a clothing shopping place with a cinema and supermarket attached. What is missing is things like ice skating rink; a gym; food markets; a wider range of restaurant types, both at the cheaper and the more expensive ends of the spectrum; themed events at the centre of the mall, including live presentations, music events, etc.; areas and activities focused on kids; a much larger variety of store types (such as more stores focused on kids of different ages and men); etc.
Conclusion: overall a great mall as far as malls go in Georgia, (somewhat) better than others in Tbilisi in my view; however since it is still being expanded, it would be good if the owners got a bit more creative, and expanded the content of the mall beyond the now tired concept of just "clothing, cosmetics and a...

When we went inside, I was impressed by how clean and modern it looked. It was very big, but we could easily figure out where everything was. There were many different stores and shops to choose from, which was great because everyone in my family found something they liked. We bought clothes, electronics, and other things we needed.
