And now, for something completely different! Let's dive into a wild foena review of the Munich Olympiahalle, shall we? Ahem. Ladies and gentlemen, hold onto your seats because this review will take you on a rollercoaster ride of disappointment. First and foremost, let's tackle the parking lot management, or should I say, lack thereof. It's an absolute shambles, resembling a scene from a chaotic Benny Hill sketch. Trying to find a spot is like searching for a needle in a haystack, and when you finally do, you're trapped! Oh, the agony of trying to leave this labyrinth of automotive torture. You'd have better luck solving a Rubik's Cube blindfolded than navigating the disorganized process of escaping this car park nightmare.
Now, let's move on to the interior and focus our attention on the acoustics. Prepare yourself for a symphony of disappointment. The sound inside the Olympiahalle is akin to listening to a kazoo playing Mozart's Requiem. It's a disheartening experience for any music lover. Whether you're there for a rock concert or a classical performance, the acoustics will leave you yearning for the sweet sound of a tin can. You'll strain your ears trying to decipher the melodies amidst the muffled mess.
In conclusion, Munich Olympiahalle may have its fair share of fame, but when it comes to parking lot management, it's a comedic disaster worthy of a sketch from Monty Python. Trying to escape its clutches is a never-ending odyssey, testing your patience and sanity. As if that weren't enough, the sub-par acoustics inside will make you question the very essence of music itself. So, if you're in search of an unforgettable evening filled with frustration and audio distortion, look no further than Munich Olympiahalle. It's an experience you won't soon forget, no matter how...
Read moreI did not like this venue, I found that there was far too much overcrowding when entering there where thousands waiting for security checks and it’s was done in a very disorganized manner. The inside halls are too tight and small for the crowd numbers with much space taken up by adhoc and obviously later built in food stalls along the outer edges of the main thoroughfare. This lead to people in lines for, these blocking the flow of movement. Even at the end of the concert the flow was crowded, disruptive and slightly tight. If there was an emergency I believe this sort of older poorly designed thorough fare with all the new food stalls and merchandise stalls, would post a security and safety issue to the efficient and fast evacuation that might be required. Inside the hall is dated and old. It looks like it was built in the 70’s.... oh wait it was! So seating poor, views designed to look directly down into stadium Halle but not really forward to a stage set up. Very disappointing when you compare,it to places like the Accor arena in Paris or the Ziggo dome in Amsterdam they are far more modern and purpose built for concerts and not...
Read moreThe concert was actually inside. Was in the Muchen area for nine days and showered or rained eight . Fortunately the first show was great weather. Had a front row seat. Met an English speaking Deutsch girl and found the VIP lounge, thanks to her. We hung out in the lounge which I am glad I spent the extra money for the VIP package. We got an Iron Maiden backpack filled with a tee, and other VIP goodies. We watched most of the first band in the lounge talking, then walked around the arena talking more. We separated for the concert, then met up afterwards. We walked to the train station, hugged and went our separate ways. It was the time of my life. Well worth it to me to travel to Muchen's Olympiahalle. Muchen is a fantastic place to visit. It's a highly visited tourist city. I didn't get out to see other attractions as I planned. Especially the Olympic Tower. It's open till 11pm. The whole area has a variety of things to do. I will be returning to Muchen. I had a fantastic vacation even with the...
