Rating as a hotel and restaurant:

The staff: Extremely friendly staff. The employees are all very friendly, courteous and helpful. Everyone greets you and you are asked how the day was. The employees all enjoy their work and are very passionate about their job. Very professional and yet a relaxed atmosphere. The waiters in the restaurant can sweeten the evening with a little fun or offer a perfect wine service. They immediately understand which atmosphere is the right one.

The rooms: Brand new renovated rooms with everything that belongs to a modern well equipped room. The rooms were cleaned every day and we got new towels every day, which were lovingly and creatively folded into different shapes. The cleaning of the rooms was always perfect. Thank you again to the housekeeping lady.

The restaurant / bar: The hotel is actually a restaurant and bar with rooms above. On the east side is the bar and on the west side is the restaurant. While great and fresh cocktails are served in the bar to club music, the restaurant has a Mediterranean atmosphere with calm music and regional dishes interpreted in a modern way. In the bar, the audience is much younger. While in the restaurant you also meet families and guests who want to take it easy. However, the restaurant and bar value high quality, which you can tell from the clientel of the guests, the quality of the food and drinks, the staff and of course the price. The price - performance ratio was justified at any time.

Breakfast: Breakfast can be selected from the "a la carte" menu in the morning. However, after a week's stay we had tried everything. The selection could offer a little more here. However, all dishes were freshly prepared. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee specialties from a portafilter machine. The breakfast stick is available in the bar in the morning under the open sky and palm trees. You can watch the city slowly awakening.

Nicht gefallen · Negative points: The breakfast selection is a bit small, but still sufficient. Access to the rooms is always through the bar or restaurant. When you come from the beach or from hiking, you sometimes feel a bit wrongly dressed.

Overrated is the word that comes to mind when having dined here. The flamboyant decoration and “authentic greek” look grants the illusion of a good restaurant, far from the truth. Although the staff was friendly, it was hard to get their attention. When they did finally bring the food it was disappointing alas. The most trivial starters were just sad. The Tzatziki had no cucumber or dill, it was greek yoghurt with garlic and salt. The garlic bread was boring. The meatballs were drenched in an mixture of curry and tomato sauce. The meatballs themselves had no taste whatsoever. The lamb shank was old, likely frozen before prepared, and stank. It came off the bone with no effort, and was not seared at the skin. The sauce was tasteless; a tomato puree mixed with water. The moussaka was somehow like toothpaste without mint, tiny bits of minced meat, and the occasional not fully cooked zucchini, the bechamel had no taste. The chicken sous vide was cooked in haste, not marinated, barely if not any seasoning. Pathetic overrated restaurant trying to create the illusion of a real one, if you cannot match your capacity with enough staff and therefore have to sacrifice quality, close down. One extra star for the iced beer glasses and...

We were at your restaurant tonight. We stated off well with a nice seater, but we got a table and nobody wanted to take our order. We called a waiter and tried to order, but she could only take the order on drinks. We ordered a bottle of wine and some water. 15 min after we finally found a waiter who could take our food-order. He then tells us the wine we ordered was out off stock (fair enough). We then ordered an (on his recommendation) a new bottle of wine, and the water once again with the food. He returns because they didn’t have the other bottle of wine so he tries with a new recommendation, which turned out to be15€ more than original bottle we asked for..

Our food arrives and we still didn’t get any water (it was 30 degrees) so we try to order it one more time, but no luck. In the end of the visit he realize that we still didn’t get it, so he brings it. When we had been done with the main courses for 15 min. we asked for the check. One of the waiters just stod at the bar looking at us casually smoking on a sisha??? and 3 bartenders just stood and still no check. Finally the check arrived, with full prize on wine and water. We left disappointed on the last night in Crete.. a...
