Sofi Restaurant Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

The owner Mrs. Sofi, was so sweet and welcoming. She made my partner and I feel like I was sitting at her dinner table inviting me to share a meal with her. She was authentic and genuine and was to me like a mother to the island and represents the best of the Cretan hospitality of the island. Was such a great experience culturally and culinary. So we arrived here and got a nice greeting with a lot of explanation, although the waiter can barely speak English. I'm heavily allergic to nuts so I asked if there were any nuts in the sauce (it just said "sauce" on the menu). Drinks arrived fast but food took very long. At least 5 people who came before us got served before we got our food. Then when we were about to walk away, they told us it was ready. I had pasta with no sauce at all. We were on vacation and were looking to eat a nice seafood platter. We arrived at this place and saw that there is not any seafood platter dish on the menu. The hostess told us she could make us the platter with prawns, calamari, octopus, mussels, fries and salad for 70 euros. After we got the platter the waitress never came back to check if everything is okay so we never got a chance to complain.
