To go to umananda temple this is new fery service.This location is different from old place where previously boats were available. Now location is new that place is marked in these photos. Just 20 Rs ticket to and fro you can go to Umananda temple from here. The rate meaning 20 Rs charges is in year 2020. If you get down by local bus at Guwahati high court bus stop or near by then ask auto to come to Ujan bazar jahaj ghat the old place of fery service now does not work.Now the boats/steamer go from this place to Umananda temple. The rate of the private ferry is 10 times than the govt one for exactly the same route and same service. There is no clear direction to the govt ferry and you will end up on the private ferry if you are a first timer. We literally felt robbed and cheated by the whole incident.
