Established in 1981, this is one of the oldest restaurants in Guwahati. I recently revisited Sunflower Restaurant after many years, and I'm delighted to report that the taste remains consistently excellent. My cousin sister and I used to frequent this restaurant, and our go-to order was always the mouth-watering Chicken Afghani with Paneer Fried Rice. I reordered the same dish, and the flavors were just as impressive as I remembered. The restaurant boasts an extensive selection of veg and non-vegetarian items, and I appreciate that they serve halal food. Pulao and Biryani lovers may try mutton pulao, chicken pulao etc. and mutton hyderabadi biryan, chicken dum biryani. Staff is also very good and helpful. However, there were a few drawbacks during my recent visit: The washroom is inconveniently attached to the toilet, which can be uncomfortable for some patrons. The waiting time after placing an order was longer than expected. The prices are slightly higher than I'd like. Horrible food. Inedible. Every single item that we ordered was just bad.

Veg fried rice had no spice, the rice was stale and it had barely any vegetables.

Then, I tried the veg noodles, and I thanked that there were no veggies in fried rice... Because all the vegetable pieces in noodles were stale and close to rotting... The carrot pieces were really stinking and rotten.

The egg biriyani should have been named egg-rice, because it only had one egg and lots of rice... Nothing else .. no spice, nothing...

Veg Tandoori paneer roll had pieces of chicken bone.

Lassi had flies IN IT..
