Gole Hatti is a multi-decade old eatery serving Punjabi food at the heart of Old Delhi.
TASTE: 5/5 The Chole Palak Chawal is unique and extremely flavourful. The pickled carrots served with it are extremely different. The Chole Kulcha can be skipped. The Gulab Jamoon is the best you can find in Delhi and is only available during Winters. The Rasmalai is also extremely good and is served with the right amount of Doodh. The Samosas are fantastic and are accompanied by tangy Imli Chutney.
HYGIENE: 4/5 It is cleaner than most such restaurants in Old Delhi. The kitchen seems a little dirty but much better than most other places.
AMBIENCE: The seating is provided in the form of Chairs and Tables. The orders are taken at the table. The ambience is quite rustic.
ACCESSIBILITY: The place can be accessed by alighting at Chandini Chowk (Yellow Line) and subsequently on foot or by shared autos. Alight at Fatehpuri Masjid. This place is also close to Old Delhi Railway Station. Better to avoid personal vehicles as the traffic is intense and parking spaces are non existent.

Have been eating at gole hatti since my childhood.
One of the oldest resturant I have been visiting , easy to find or locate.
Awesome food, specially palak chole rice with pickle, can be packed in kullar for take away, which keeps food fresh and warm and keep the flavour intact.
I remeber visiting gole hatti with parents, those days palak chole rice use to be priced at Rs 5 per plate which is now approximately Rs 80.
Gole have never compromised on quality and taste. The taste was always the same and till date the taste is same as it use to be.
Although the quantity of palak chole rice is little less. But even after having 2 or 3 plates of palak chole rice , pet to bhar jayega lekin Mann nhi bherega.
Now they are also attached with swiggy Zomato and you can also order through swiggy ginnie or other pick drop apps.
One more tip when you visit personally do try those sweet dishes also.
Moreover one more thing buy fresh veggies sold by street vendors sitting out...
Read moreGole di Hatti is one of the oldest food places in Chandni Chowk and is well-known because it has been serving for so many years. It’s a small eatery with simple North Indian food, but the taste is just okay.
The Chole Kulche and Chole Chawal are their main dishes, but you can find better options at the same price nearby. The food is not very cheap, which is understandable since they have to manage a big rent and many staff. The tikki with chutney is one of the better items, and their sweet dish is fine too.
The place is small, usually crowded, and only accepts cash, so make sure to carry some. It’s a decent option if you’re in the area, but you can also try other spots like Giani for sweets or different snacks around Chandni Chowk.
Overall, it’s a good place to eat if you want to try something old and classic, but it may not be the best...
