recently dined at Shri Hari sharnam and while the food was decent, the overall experience was marred by the undisciplined behavior of the staff. From the moment we arrived, the service felt chaotic and unprofessional. The host seemed distracted and failed to acknowledge us for several minutes, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. Once seated, our server was inattentive, often chatting loudly with colleagues instead of checking on tables. Orders were mixed up, and when we pointed out the mistake, the response was dismissive rather than apologetic. Additionally, we witnessed staff members arguing openly in the dining area, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. The lack of professionalism extended to basic tasks—tables were left uncleared, It’s clear the staff could benefit from better training and management to ensure a cohesive and respectful service environment. While the food was satisfactory, the undisciplined staff significantly detracted from the experience. I hope the management addresses these issues, as it’s a shame to see potential wasted due to poor service. I won’t be in a hurry to return unless...
Read moreSo life met me between the eyes, more at the stomach level to be truthful, at the modest but clearly outstanding, eatery, Shri Hari Sharnam, above Crown Hotel; it came tops as per unpartisan shop-keepers suggestions and yes also the inevitable Google Aunty/Uncle search, just a stone’s throw from the venerable Chainna Ram and Meghraj Sweets. There is hardly any point in waxing eloquent about the food, which would have you kissing the cooks hand, after you’ve eaten your own fingers. In the princely sum of Rs 150/- I had a Thaali with nine options all as proclaimed by the eatery in Desi Ghee and Olive oil preparation. Washed down with the help of Thums-Up. loved it enough and more to get some things packed and even my grown 24 year old son, loved the halwaa, being from the generation n the Yankee type which usually goes gaga ONLY on confectionery, ice creams and chocolates Just...
