C R Park is expected to represent Bengal and bengali food culture. I came to this city from Calcutta in 1981 and lived there. In small proportions, taste of sweets did match but never satisfying enough to a north calcuttan. What C R Park could never do was singara, chop, beguni etc. It was pathetic. But over the years things have improved a lot. Dadu Snacks is one such place where you will get very good alur chop, singara, cutlets, egg devils, fish fries etc. Sweet shop adjacent to it, Annapurna Sweets is also very good. Prices are reasonable but the food is very spicy. Me and my family members all got stomach problems after consuming it. We had some fish and chicken cutlets. They need to add less spices and chillies in the food stuff they sell. Also seating space is not adequate. We had to stand and eat. Taste is just average, not very great.
