How an ac buying from Lulu Connect Cochin turned out to be a disaster for us.
In April we went to buy an AC from Lulu Connect Kochi. From the moment we entered there we had to wait for a long time till we were attended to plus, the products were not there. He had asked us to wait till the 25th. No choice, so we agreed. Invoice no 041/0032583. delivery date was 25-04-2023.
Called him on the 25th and he said that it will take some more time. Then we got the products on 27th. Installation guys came the next day and realised that they delivered a wrong product. Called Lulu guys to inform them. They asked me to wait for some time till they deliver the actual product. Delivery van returned and took the products back from me without showing any paper to prove and said that, Sit, you will get your products in 30 mins.
Installation guys fixed the 2 ACs and said that they want to leave, and they will come tomorrow. We were asking him to wait, but they were not bothered, they left saying that they will come tomorrow. The replacement that was supposed to come in 30 minutes came back after 3 hours. They gave usual excuses and left.
Next day we were expecting the installation guys to come. No one called. Upon calling multiple times one Ms.Sheena, rudely said they canât come,iIt is not their problem that product delivery went wrong and I have to wait till tomorrow. After a lot of fuss they came and installed it.
We realised later that we have to relocate the AC. The LULU management told us to put in a request with DAIKIN, based on the fact they came on 4th of June. The service was scheduled for morning and the so called âengineersâ came in the afternoon. Then again, they waited for 2-3 hours to tell us that the AC could not be fixed that day because the draining hole had to be core-cutted and that is not something they did. We waited till next day. Again, the core-cutting guys were 1-2 hours late.
The installation team was supposed to come the next morning but ended up coming at 4 PM teh day after. They had no difficulty charging (6+k) us with a big bill at the end of it. They fixed the AC in its place but left the drainage pipe hanging half way on the wall and the water dripped into the compressor. When we called to register the complaint the coordinator Sheena did not even pick up the call. We finally called the service person who said they would come by 9 but ended up coming at 10.45 at night.
Again ac went off after they left. Called their guys but no response. The next day, after calling more than 4 times, the response from her was rude too. She said she will send another team today itself by 4. Again, after waiting till 8.30 pm they called us and said they canât come because it is raining. They came the next day after noon and said that it was working and they were about to leave. I had asked him to wait, then they realised the AC was going off again, they left late in the evening saying something was wrong. Called the service station and the Lulu service person said that we will do something . But nothing.
We later called the Daikin contact person again and she gave us the number of the Regional office, which is also there on their google page, which was a dead end. Their number did not work nor did the Daikin representative take our call again.
Tried complaining to the LuLu team but they just said wait please with no actual action. Tried them again, and they said that they will send an ENGINEER to check the AC unit. But the people who came to check were the same people.
They said that the board was gone. Neither the Daiken team, nor the Lulu team took responsibility. Infact, the Lulu representative sided with the Daikin guys. After a one hour long conversation with the Lulu representative, he said that by Monday (12th June â23) morning he will give us a call with an update. We waited till 4.30 for their call, nothing. Finally WE had to call them for an update and all he said was that the replacement product will reach us in 4-5 daysâ.

I bought it to give as a gift, and my wife did not like it anymore. The Lulu Connect guy said that you can replace or change it within 7 days. Just now I called the connect team; they said it's not possible! You can sell it as a second product. Is this customer policy ? Why did they say 7-day policy ??? They are cheating the customer with wrong information. I called them to replace it with a better configuration, but they insist. This is poor customer service!!!

I received a call from this number. The caller informed me that there is no return policy unless the product is defective or not activated, and that too only after confirmation from the HP service center. I pointed out that if I had purchased the same product from Amazon or Flipkart, a return would be possible under their policies. My question remains: If Amazon and Flipkart allow returns for the same product, why doesnât Lulu? Even HP accepts returns through these platforms. Why canât Lulu offer the same if a customer is not satisfied? The person on the call said, "Itâs Luluâs policy not to accept returns if no defect with in 7 days of purchase." I disconnected the call at that point, as I felt there was no point in continuing the conversation.

I received another call from the same number. The caller, again not disclosing his name, repeated the same statements and requested me to delete my review. Is this how Lulu Customer Service operates? This kind of approach is exactly why many people avoid buying products from Lulu Connect â there is no proper return policy, unlike Amazon or Flipkart.
My Recommendation: Please do not buy electronic products from retail shops like Lulu Connect. The same product purchased online from Amazon or Flipkart can be returned or replaced if youâre not satisfied. The caller was argumentative and finally ended the call, stating he cannot replace or return the product. Today is the 7th day since purchase, and I have no option left except to keep using this disappointing product. Lesson learned: Never trust verbal promises like âweâll return it in 7 days.â Visit Lulu if you want to see the product, but buy it online instead â at least youâll have the right to return.
