Actually the food taste and quality was at top notch, but when it comes to service, it was rather poor. Few things that I thought needed more attention was: We booked the reservation for 17 people 3 days prior to the time of arrival, confirmed the time and assured them the booking was confirmed. The arrangements of the table was yet to be done by the what I understood was the restaurant's main server, inspite of confirming our time of arrival numerous times. The table lacked spoon, forks and napkins. We had to request the same for numerous times, and each time they served us with the limited number of the same. After every time they cleared the table, no spoons and forks were provided to us and yet again, the same thing continued to the last. Secondly, we booked a reservation for lunch during Shaptami, which was a day of scortching sunlight and very high temperature. Naturally people would expect water to be served, which wasn't served until we went into main course dishes. I didn't expect the water to be complimentary, but atleast it should've been served to us the moment our starters arrived, since we were clearly exhausted. Thirdly, when we finally asked for water, they gave it directly in bottles, no glasses were provided. The resturant clearly didn't pay attention when I said we were 17 in numbers. Half of the time whenever they were serving the plates, it was less in numbers, and yet again we had to ask for it again and again. We were quiet unsatisfied when we asked for 6 rice bowls and 3 arrived. While asking for the remaining 3, we were informed that, they served us in the largest bowl they had and each bowl had the quantity of 2 rice bowls. I believe, it should have been informed to us that this is how they will be serving us and we shouldn't be the one asking about it.
We were a group of youngsters (17-20 age groups) so I believe they thought we wont be paying attention to all these minimal details, which I think are considered essentiality in terms of resturant services, unless you're visiting a road side resturant.
The food quality, ambience was perfect. But I firmly think that the employees are required to be trained...
Read moreWe just hosted a close door 3-day residential conference at Cloud Tavern (a roof-top hall of Hotel Samilton) with around 11 executives. The Owner and the Manager, Mr. Mirza was as good as the front desk executive Ms. Farheen. She made our check-in, check-out and billing very smooth (9/10). The most pleasing was the hospitality, service and food that was taken care by the open roof top 'Cloud Tavern' in-charge, Mr. Neel and his team during these 3 days. He is very courteous, prompt and was always on his toes (10/10). Be it continental, chinese or Indian, the food was excellent and pocket friendly (9.5/10). He converted our official meet to a homely atmosphere. Even the complimentary breakfast buffet spread at Pepper Chino were very tasty. Only the area of house-keeping needs a bit improvement (8/10). Overall a great experience.
Best wishes for the forthcoming days.
Thank you. For Swayam Sandip Das...
Read moreThe service was very very bad out there. No one served water. Even while we ordered for our food (rice) they were giving us 2 plates of rice in a single bowl which was totally a scam. Food was good. But you must inform how you serve food and what may be the quantity. No water being served..no spoons no napkins were placed properly.. everything was a mess. I would not like to visit here for the 2nd time. Even the price were a scam in that menu cards. 2 different menu cards. Same food but...
