My Big Fat Belly — Restaurant in Kolkata

This place is situated at Sarat Bose Road. Me and my friends went there for trying their new monsoon menus.It was my first visit and i liked the place very much. The ambiance and the food was amazing.

The sapid menus we ordered here

1. Peach Iced Tea- chilled cold tea served with ice and peach flavoured syrup. It was really tasty and a superb refreshner.

2. Fusilli Pasta Salad- dish prepared in pesto sauce topped with cherry tomatoes, olive, cheese & mint leaves. Tastes so uncommon and good.

3. Cucumber mojito- perfect combination of cucumber lemon & mint leaves for summer refresher. It tastes really awesome.

4. Exotic vegetable croquetts- It was crispy from outside and cheesy inside. Tastes really awesome. While giving one bite you can just see the cheese coming out.

5. Chicken A La Kiev Shots- This one was just yumm.. It was crispy and crunchy outside and buttery inside. Tastes too good with buttery chicken inside.

6. Bell pepper risotto with grilled chicken- Another delicious dish we had. It was really rich creamy in terms of taste and it feels like heaven when the chicken pieces sarted melting in my mouth with the creaminness. The presentation of the dish was too good. Topped with some crispy onions and it tastes different too. I also like the thickness of the dish.

7. Quinoa burger with Raw onion- the burger was served with a tasty dip some crisp onion rings and some french fries. Tastes really awesome and different.

8. Shrimp burger with Lava sauce - it was also served with some onion rings & french fries. Though lava sauce was spicy but i love spicy food so i love sauce and the burger very much.

9. Pizza Six senses- First time ever I tried the type of pizza which has the 6 combination of cheeses. Parmesan, Mozzarella, Feta, Cream cheese, Cheddar & Gorgonzola. When I took one bite ... it feels oh! Man.. it tastes so good along with the flavour of the cheese.

10. Chocolate Cigar - Last but not the least This dessert won my heart with its chocolaty taste inside and the crunchy outside served with whipped cream and blueberry sauce. Texture was perfect like cigars in the mouth.

Food was yummy and ambiance was perfect. Though it can be a lil bit of broader because it is hard to get seats in the time of lunch and dinner. Staffs were co operative and well mannered.

Where do I spend most of my salary? Answer. My Big Fat Belly

The only restaurant having a name which most food bloggers can relate to. The place I am taking about is called My BigFat Belly and they have a few outlets across Kolkata. The picnic garden outlet is only a delivery outlet but they serve a huge variety of dishes. They mainly focus on continental and Italian cuisine but from each section there are tons of dishes to choose from.

Since it is only a delivery outlet hence lets focus on what you can definitely order from here.

Undoubtedly they have a great collection of thin crust pizzas which are so delicious that can give big brands a run for their money. From the pizza section Pizza AI fungi was a winner. This Italian pizza is topped with mozzarella ,mushrooms , tomato sauce and parsley.

Pesto pizza is another simple yet delicious offer. This pizza although doesn’t have any topping other than pesto sauce and cheese but is full of flavours. I was overwhelmed to know that veg pizza could be so delicious.

Ala kiev shots is another unique and innings dish that you can go for. A dish from Ukraine that consists of chicken breast stuffed with herbs butter and cheese and then deep fried to have a crispy outer covering. Here the portion sizes are small that the traditional Ala kiev and hence the name.

Bacon wrapped praws would be my next favourite. Crispy bacon wrapped ober juicy prawns stuck together with the help of a toothpick.

There are plenty of Burger options that you can go for. All of them look stunning. They make their buns as well so you can expect a good deal from this place at the price that you pay.

From the desserts Blueberry Cheesecake was the ultimate winner. Nothing beats the pleasure of having a creamy cheesecake that has the perfect balance of sweetness. Possibly one of the cheapest cheesecakes of the town.

The chocolate brownies were made fully with chocolate and no flour was used in the process hence making them more chocolaty and heavy. You can’t have more than one slice of it, they are so dense.

Cheers to the chefs. Hope they maintain the quality and the variation that they have...

My Big Fat Belly is famous for their Burgers, Pizzas, and also for their mouthwatering Desserts. This place is located at 22 Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata- 700020. The cafe is beautifully decorated and has a cozy and soothing ambience. It can accommodate 15-20 people at a time. So, visited this cafe few days ago, coming to the food items that we had:

Started with Chicken Caesar Salad, Ala Kiev Shots, Grilled Chicken Fries, Herb Fried Chicken Strips. The Chicken Caesar Salad was loaded with chicken and veggies and was quite flavourful. The Fried Chicken Strips tasted amazing, the outer coating was very crispy and it was soft from the inside. The Ala Kiev shots also tasted good, small chicken balls filled with butter, tasted crunchy from outside and buttery from inside.

For the mains we had, Al Pacino Pizza, American Pizza, Chicken Jucy Lucy Burger, Big Bong Burger, Sun-dried Tomato Risotto with chicken and Aglio E Olio Spaghetti with chicken. The Al Pacino Pizza was loaded with bell peppers, olives, dried red chilli, basil,chicken pieces and cheese and the American Pizza was loaded with cheese and pepperoni. Both of them tasted delicious.The Chicken Jucy Lucy Burger had cheese and chicken based patty with lettuce, tomato, fried eggs and caramelized onions and it is served with French fries and onion rings. Then comes the Big Bong Burger, this burger contains Kosha Mangsho Patty, fried eggs with cheesy sauce and it is served with French fries and onion rings. The Aglio E Olio Spaghetti, spaghetti served with chicken and garlic bread, the spaghetti was light and tasted delicious.

And lastly, we ended up with Cheese Cake and Brownie with Ice Cream. The brownies went well with the vanilla ice cream and I liked their cheesecake, it was rich and creamy. And we also tried some beverages like Peach Ice Tea and Squidgy Brownie Shake. The Peached Iced Tea was very refreshing and the Brownie Shake also tasted well.

Overall a great experience. Loved their amazing service. I would recommend this place to everyone. Thank you My Big Fat Belly for having me over.
