This shop is a part of my childhood, I vaguely remember coming here with my father when I was 3 or 4 and having their Rabri and Paradise Sandesh and the taste still lingers in my memory.

When ever I am in the vicinity I make it a point to visit this place and rejuvenate my old memories.

But its hard to see people visiting this old semi-antique sweet shop of Kolkata.

To me, this shop fills like a time machine that takes me back to the old Kolkata where Double Decker busses and Hand Rickshaw competed on the same road and Pepsi was frozen coloured water inside a thin transparent plastic tube.

A humble request to all, Next time when ever you are near Triangular Park area do drop by this place. I assure you, you won't be disappointed.

This shop is more than 60 years old and still going strong. Have been enjoying their sweets since my childhood and find the quality and taste remain same. One must try the white sweet curd (“sada misti doi”) and “abar khabo sandesh”. But the unique creation is “khirer chanch” which is prepared by no other shops in Kolkata. Jadab Chandra Das Sweets or Mistanna Bhandar as we call in bangla is synonymous and renowned for its Bengali styled Rabris and makes one of the better ones in Kolkata.
