I very rarely leave bad reviews, but in this instance I’m sharing my experience so that others don’t have the same experience.
In my opinion, there are two elements that influence a good massage experience. The first is the setting and the second is the experience of the masseuse. Unfortunately, this spa fell short on both elements.
When we arrived the door was locked and we only got in thanks to another customer. We then were left waiting until a lady arrived very confused and asked us what we had booked. She then ushered us to a room that wasn’t set up or ready for customers. This all could have been overlooked but things unfortunately only got worse.
After a few minutes into the massage, it became clear that my masseuse must have been a trainee. This would have been fine if they had said something, but they didn’t and it was evident she didn’t know what she was doing at all and to my severe discomfort had long nails that kept scraping me. When I told her she would go softer for a few minutes, before then continuing to scrape me as she moved through the massage.
On top of this due to the nature of the rooms set up, open to the elements, we had to listen to blaring music from a nearby room or building along with someone making dinner and doing the hoovering. This may have been out of their control to be fair, but it can’t be a once off so they should have a better set up with ear plugs or something as trying to relax as Lincoln Park was blaring, was quite difficult.
I may have just had an unlucky experience, but sharing to prevent it happening to others. There are so many spas in Ubud, I really wouldn’t...
Read moreUnfortunately, this was not the relaxing spa experience we were hoping for. We were a group of four (two couples) and appreciated that they were able to accommodate us for a hot stone massage followed by a floral bath. However, the overall experience fell short. During the massage, the therapists were conversing with each other the entire time, which made it difficult to relax. There were also multiple interruptions from staff knocking on the treatment room doors.
When we moved to the floral bath, we were disappointed to find the area poorly maintained—the tub area was moldy and in need of serious cleaning and upkeep. Given the higher prices compared to other spas in Bali, we expected a more serene and well-kept environment. Unfortunately, we would not return and wouldn’t recommend this place for those seeking a peaceful or...
Read moreRecently, I had the opportunity to experience a Balinese massage and a flower bath at a spa located just outside Ubud. The spa offers a tranquil atmosphere, and the staff's welcome was extremely kind and professional.
The Balinese massage was performed by skilled therapists, and I enjoyed a relaxing experience throughout the session.
After that, I moved on to the flower bath. This area was enriched with natural flowers, and the warm water created a soothing effect. The pleasant fragrance of the flowers positively influenced the overall experience.
Finally, the quality of the tea served was also noteworthy. The hot and aromatic tea was a delightful touch that complemented the experience. I made a reservation to...
