DEPOT HENGKI UBUD — Restaurant in Bali

This is one of my favourite "must go to" restaurants for excellent food. It is very local for me when I am back in Ubud and we have never had a bad meal here. Sometimes we will also order food to be delivered when it's pouring with rain. There are so many great dishes to choose from that it can be hard to decide what to have. A must have is their pangsit goreng, served up nice & hot with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. They make some amazing noodle dishes and soups. The Chinese style cuisine is excellent too. You won't leave here feeling hungry that is for sure. We really love eating here and we will return...

All was good and as expected. I would classify this as an average expected experience. Service was on time, waitress friendly and polite. The food was flavorful. Keep in mind if there are no average places there can be no exceptional places - so not every visit can be a 5. Highly recommend the chicken noodle hotplate, our boys loved it. OMG maybe best Chinese restaurant in Bali. Insane good Chinese. I thought the portions would be small. I ordered way too much food. In the states most Chinese or Thai restaurants have similar menus. But here you are closer to the source. Top clockwise: garlic green beans, chicken fried rice, black pepper fried eggplant, and sweet chilli fish. I will be back.
