For daring and active people only!! You’ll need hiking/trekking shoes. Flip flops won’t do. Dangerous for young children, elderly or mobility impaired. But if you’re healthy, active, and a nature lover like me, you’ll LOVE this bridge/trail. Trail in the northern part gets very narrow and at times, muddy and slippery. Also at the northernmost point where you make the U-turn, there’s a very steep area where you almost have to climb up or down.
Pro tip: Better to start from the Sweet Orange Walk(east) and make a U-turn towards Sari Organic Walk(west), not the other way around!! That way, the steep hike will be uphill, not downhill. If you slip on the mud going downhill and fall, it’ll be really bad. Made me wonder if rescue/retrieval would even be possible if one fell. It is VERY narrow (foot wide) and slippery.
But it’s such a great place for trekking! In the northern parts you’re completely immersed in a wild jungle, rarely running into people. (Thus more dangerous, I guess) Enter at your own risk, but I personally loved it and I’d...
Read moreif you go from Sweet Orange Trail, beside Museum Puri Lukisan you will pass the narrow path before you pass the small bridge. Be careful, if you're not sure to step on the side path, you can walk on the small river beside the path. Also, don't forget to bring wooden stick if you want to have something to grip.
Recommended to walk on a Sunny day, because it will be dangerous (landslide & slippery) on Rainy day.
And don't forget to bring anti-mosquito oil/ eucalyptus oil. And maybe a flashlight, because even in the morning/afternoon, there's some point that is a bit dark because of the...
Read moreWe loved the walk along the rice fields starting near the museum, getting to the bridge area where one crosses the stream and walking back ending up eventually near the art market. The one danger point is after crossing the stream there is a very narrow part with water on one side and steep drop the other with a very narrow path to stand on. I did find this scary and ended up putting my feet in the water to navigate it. Otherwise, this is a very scenic and beautiful walk, away from the more...
