Delitaly — Local services in Cork

Used to love going here. It was always a highlight of my day and something to look forward to. Previous owners even put in special requests for orders, since I used to live in Naples and sometimes asked for things they didn't normally stock. New owners don't know much about customer service, arguing over cutting something in the deli the way it was requested - the way the previous owners used to do all the time. Unbelievable. Won't shop there again.

Edit: You can see the owner's reply and can tell that the customer service mindset is lacking. Apparently lying about the situation and accusing a customer of animal abuse (?) is easier than apologising and working to do better. Avoid this place. Giorgia and Alessio They are fantastic people, originally from Verona, they have a very kind and welcoming manner and make you feel at ease. In addition to a large selection of Italian products at more than fair prices, they have the ingredients to make a real Carbonara: finally, real guanciale and pecorino cheese. They also prepare a fantastic focaccia to be eaten as is or filled with cured meats and cheeses, they prepare an excellent tiramisu and fantastic tarts. Another new thing for me is that I can make my own coffee according to my tastes hahahahaha fantastico. Un vero tocco di italianità per noi nostalgici, c'è n'era bisogno. Grazie...

The food is good, but the service isn’t for non Italians. I went there with my Italian husband, he speaks Italian, and we paid around 10 euros for burrata, speck and fontina cheese. I went the next day on my own, ordered only spek and fontina, same quantities, and paid about the same, but this time I didn't take the burrata, and they didn't cut the cheese into slices, because it wasn't easy to cut it according to their words, when a day before they did.
