Atmosphere was great, and I loved the orange and mint infused water, but the food could use some work. For appetizers we got the cheese rolls and the caprese. Both were okay. The caprese could've used more olive oil, and there were only two small cheese rolls (also tasted okay) that looks like skinny egg rolls. If there were 3-4 cheese rolls, that would've been better. The main reason I disliked Nosta is how they cooked the salmon with penne dish. This dish comes in a white wine cream sauce, which sounds heavenly when you read it, but they must've cooked or prepared it differently, causing eat bite of salmon to be squishy and taste like very strong cheap white wine with zero salmon flavor. I tried about four different pieces of salmon, but they each were the same. The sauce on the penne did not have this problem, but the salmon ruined the meal. The garlic bread with that came with the pasta was okay, not great. I felt like the main entree should've been free, but the waiter didn't ask when he cleared my full plate, nor did he notice that our water carafe and glasses were empty for over 10 minutes before we just paid and left. Overall the food was just okay, not great, and the main dish was unfortunately unpleasant to eat. Had the service been spectacular, it may have made up for some of the experience, but I have to rate this one lower than usual as I pretty much had caprese and garlic bread for 21e.

What a terrible and actually scary experience. I'm sitting shaking as I type this. After paying near 30 euro for a so called platter via delivery, I was sent what you see in the picture. Some over cooked meats, some of which was extremly tough and half a tub of rice with a few wilted lettuce leaves and what looks to be half a shop bought tortilla wrap. Truly shocking in itself for the price I paid. They couldn't even seperate the sauce into two tubs as you can see in the pics. When I complained the gentleman actually told me he had my address and threatened me, telling me to basically come fight him and he would put me in my place. For the first time ever, I've had to call the gardai as unfortunately this restaurant has my address which is extremly worrying due to the sheer aggression this man displayed over a simply complaint. In my shame I retaliated and spoke in a way I woukd rather not, however I feel it is partially justified due to the abuse I got.

Definitely recommend that you make reservations to eat here, Seen many people get turned away. We choose this place because it has sharing platters. We ordered seafood platter, Nico's meat platter and Lahmacun. When the brought up the seafood platter, the smell was heavenly. Smells like good fried shellfish. The seasoning did not disappoint, it is the right level of pepper and salt. The prawns are still crunchy, didn't feel oily. The calamari was firm. Nico's meat platter give you a taste of everything they have to offer, served on a tray with either rice or chips. We loved the kofte. The rice, not so much. It also came with soft lavash bread. The Lahmacun, not so memorable. I could have given it a miss 4 adults and 2 kids, there's still leftover after the meal. Definitely 2 sharing platter was a bit too much for us.

I'd never been to Nostra before, but I was really pleasantly surprised. The best thing about the food was the portion side. Restaurants can be a little frugal with portion sizes sometimes, but we all struggled to finish ours, and we were hungry to begin with. Another noteworthy "plus" about this restaurant was the staff. They were so professional and welcoming. The girls on the floor and the guy (from Croatia I believe) who rang up our bill were excellent. The carbonara I ordered was a little "sauce-y" for my liking and and it didn't contain the traditional guanciale (cured pork) dices, but I opted to add extra chicken and, whatever way it was cooked, it was bursting with flavour. Definitely will go back for another sampling.

I've had Nosta on my list of places to try for a couple of years now but for whatever reason hadn't gotten around to it. We were so disappointed. We had the mixed kebab, on recommendation from the waitress and cheese rolls. Mixed kebab was fine, but for €21 I wouldve expected to be blown away. Wasnt far off a mixed kebab from Istanbul up Oliver Plunkett street. The flatbread reminded me of a mini tortilla rather than a Turkish flatbread but I can get over that. What really killed me was the cheese rolls. €8.50, with a little "salad". I literally couldn't believe it when I saw them. Service was great, waiter/waitress were very attentive and helpful. No fault of theirs.

We both started our dinner with their cheese rolls - it literally happened to be only 2 little fried cheese sticks. Since we were sharing it, the portion ended up being too small for 2 unfortunately - we wish the staff could have warned us about the size of the portion beforehand. The cheese rolls were nice and we wouldn’t have minded to order 2 portions instead. As main dish I had the mix doner (chicken and lamp doner with salad, rice and bread) while my partner had the spinach canelone. Overall both dishes were fine - the same for their strawberries mojito. However we think the food and the drinks were overpriced.
