Cathedrali Pasticceria — Local services in Modena

I mean.. it's impossible not to be attracted by the beauty of the pastries that Cathedrali offers.

I'm not a huge fan of whipped cream but their "maritozzi" are just a feast for the eyes and a I couldn't order something else. After I tried one I can confirm it's a feast also for the mouth!

I had the crazy idea to add also 2 small bignets but in retrospect it was too much. The maritozzi alone made it for a very rich breakfast.

Cathedrali is placed in the liveliest square on Modena and in the evening it changes target and sells savory food. It's probably great but in my imagination it's a breakfast bar. And a gorgeous one.

Staff may seem a bit "disconnected" at first but it's very friendly once you start talking with them. I believe they are just overwhelmed with the amount of tables they need to...

I have high standards for choosing eateries and wouldn't usually visit somewhere with only 4.2 stars, but this place deserves 5 stars! The pastries with very fresh and light. Delicious! All of the staff were incredibly friendly. The shop has plenty of seating and was clean and stylish. We also had coffee and the first round was great though admittedly second coffee must've been made by a different barista as it was below standard. However, our entire experience here was still great, I only wished we'd discovered it prior to our last...

All’inizio della quarta superiore ho cominciato ad avere dei problemi che mi impedivano di fare colazione a casa, da quel momento ho scoperto, anche grazie alla loro sponsorizzazione della squadra di Modena Volley, il bar pasticceria Cathedrali, in pieno centro storico e di fronte al meraviglioso Duomo di Modena. Fin da subito ho trovato eccellente la qualità, dei numerosi prodotti offerti: dalle brioche (cioccolato, pistacchio, marmellata, crema, pain au chocolat, svedese, girelle all’uvetta, veneziane, maritozzi) ai pasticcini, dalla pizza al gnocco fritto preparato e farcito al momento e ancora dalle monoporzioni alle torte. Senza dubbio opere d’arte nel campo della pasticceria. In questi ultimi due anni di superiori il momento della colazione è stata un’avvolgente coccola a cui non potevo rinunciare. Mi sono sentita come in famiglia. I proprietari, carinissimi Francesca e tutte le ragazze e i ragazzi che mi hanno accolta con un sorriso, la mattina e il pomeriggio sono stati di una gentilezza, cordialità e professionalità unica. Per godersi l’atmosfera calda e conviviale è stato recentemente aperto un ampio spazio lounge dentro al quale si può godere di una maggiore privacy. All’esterno invece si trovano numerosi tavoli con vista Duomo, perfetti per gustarsi un aperitivo con gli amici. Consiglio vivamente di provare i loro prodotti almeno una volta, ma vi assicuro che dopo la prima ce ne sarà anche una seconda e poi una terza e così via, perchè non si può fare a meno di ritornare in un luogo che piano piano...
