Would you believe me if I told you I'm able to resist gelato 🍨? And that I'm able to watch 👀 my son eat gelato without having some myself? 🤔 Probably not right? 😅 Well, I actually am! 😁 After lunch the other day in Napoli 🇮🇹, I bought my son an ice cream cone from Gay-Odin (@gayodin1894) and I didn't have any myself. 😇 But I confess that it was because I was planning on having another type of dessert! 😝 So I bought him this "small" cone and I only tried the pistachio scoop (As my son tends to order flavors I don't like, besides pistachio 🙄). It was very good, slightly too sweet and too creamy for me. But my son enjoyed it, and that's what matters. 👍 It's not appreciable on the pic, but the portion was large, especially taking into account that this was the small cone (2️⃣ flavors) and we only paid €2.5 for it. Plus, as often in Italy 🇮🇹 (and NEVER in the rest of the world 😤), whipped cream was free. 🙏

Read moreRecommended by the front desk at our hotel.......after a welcome drink at our hotel we decided on gelato instead of din-din.
We each had a medium cup with 3 flavors and the price was 3.5 X2=7 euros. Delicious and even a bit less costly than Buenos Aires!
We were introduced to Gay Odin on a walking food tour of Naples and this was by far our favorite stop. The selection of flavors is wonderful and the portions, for the price, quite reasonable. Try the pear and ricotta gelato- so unique and absolutely delicious.
Gay Odin has the most wonderful assortment of artisanal chocolates. You can't leave Naples without trying them and taking a box home with you.The shop itself is beautiful and the staff is very friendly
We had a few different flavours here asking the lady for her recommendation and they were all delicious. Good value for money and probably one of the better gelatos I've had in Naples.

Read moreDecided to buy local Neapoletan sweet souvenirs for family and friends here. Some chocolate and weighted chocolate truffle candies. The service was disappointing. We for instance asked for 1 extra small paper bag for putting weighted sweets into which the lady working there refused to give. Neither did she allow to put a ribbon on a pistachio chocolate I bought to bring home to my son. She literarily lifted a finger up when saying ”No, no!” when I was asking about the ribbon. Overall, we felt like disturbing her day by just being there and decided not to try ice-cream, which was also in plans. After all, the sweets were very average in taste, not as good as from other italian chocolate brands...
