So, felt compelled to review this place, although I normally never do. We wanted gelato, which we stated to the server and selected the smallest cup, because we didn’t want too much. We both selected two flavours, thinking we’d get two scoops like in other places. He then proceeded to put in the equivalent of three scoops per flavour, whipped cream, syrup, a wafer and granola(?). Hardly the default serving you should expect. Moreover, the gelato itself was good, so it didn’t need all the extra stuff, it was detracting from otherwise good gelato. Of course we also ended up paying way more than we intended, because we got served way more than we intended to get. The server not confirming what we wanted, but rather defaulting to a much more expensive option, felt tourist trap-y.
Edit to respond: We pointed to the smallest cup we saw, there was no indication of what would go in there. Consider making the serving options more clear than they currently are....
Read moreDon’t walk, run to this gelateria! We stumbled upon it on our last day in Rome and Andrea greeted us so warmly upon entering. He let us sample every kind of his gelato. He proudly explained all were made by hand by him. Each one was delicious in their own right. We ended up getting his signature cream with raspberry sauce and chocolate. It was amazing. A wonderful finish to what has been an amazing trip meeting wonderful people like Andrea who are so warm and friendly...
